There has to be an agreement that one person will eventually move.

There has to be an agreement that one person will eventually move. Having lived through an LTR, I have to agree with Cat. It's just too difficult for both sides. (Of course, I kept returning to LTRs, convinced that I could make the next one work. Nope. Need to take Cat's advice. |

If long distance stays long distance,
it'll work, only if both people like living in fantasy land. |

a Long distance relationship can work if two people have the strong in Faith and respect for each other The two people have to have already met face to face. Simply meeting online isn't enough. It isn't until one meets the other in person does one know if the two are compatible. |

I agree. But only because you put in "strong in Faith." But IMO "faith" is just another term for "delusion." Some delusions are more harmful than others. |

a Long distance relationship can work if two people have the strong in Faith and respect for each other I agree, they can and do work for those prepared to relocate for love. The good thing is, you can learn a lot about each other by emails, video calls, etc. Before you even decide to meet up. You do need to meet soon so you can both decide if they really could be "the one". The downside is the costs of travel, and accommodation if you live very far apart, just to go to meet each other will be high, even higher if you live in different countries. Not an easy option compared to dating someone in your hometown. |
