I did get totally fed up and I stopped dating.
Then I went into seclusion and studied to become a priest. But when they found out that I only believe in 8 of the 10 commandments.. well, I was out on my a*s. |

I've just started and am doing so with hesitation because it's been awhile. Not sure what to expect. I'm pretty much happy in life but would like a friend first. That seems to be the hard part. It's daunting to do this.

have you ever stop dating because you were just fed-up No, I like dating. I am an incurable romantic. But I would only go on a date with someone I am attracted to. I am a loner by nature so I am happy and content on my own. But there are times, that I miss being in love. and then I would think that I don't like sharing my bathroom .. that kills the moment instantly.   But what if he ALWAYS puts the seat down? |

Yes completely. Not sure if it's the over 50 thing. The gals are looking to get serious right away.
Guess the want to get married again. The moment I catch this vibe, I lose interest. Just want someone to hang with. Marriage at this stage in life is a non starter. So the dates, 1 at least a quarter....(third shift)..Just dinner some convo....nothing interesting.

I've mostly given up on what might be considered a traditional dating situation and exploring alternatives - must be something more enjoyable than older women who are husband hunting or celibate!

I feel at this point everyone should have their own bathroom it's just a privacy thing. But also who wants to be in a crowded small room with other people at the same time? Bad enough I have pets that follow me in there every time that's crowded enough for me.
They never see anything new so I don't know why they follow me there. |

Not husband hunting at all. Problem is with internet dating, guys have this long list of what they want and don’t want. Most of them aren’t realistic. They want younger, slimmer, sporty and so on. Good luck to them, that’s why they will be alone or pay for a date lol. I would like to date and get to know someone. I don’t have any list. |

no...can't get enough...sometimes i have to dear hunt; other times she bashes me over the head with a club...
each is unique..each has different challenges...some have been sprints and others marathons...but all have been and still are enriching... my personal two cents |

Yes, so now I just blurt out before the first date. " listen... do I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting laid with you?" If yes.. then on to a great restaurant.. if no.. then to the buffet we go Buffet? When I say no they usually do the drive thru at McDonald's and make me pay for my own Happy meal |

It feels so silly - but if you don't go out except for work or catching up with friends - what other option is there ? I don't drive at night and even if I did, I wouldn't go out on my own...… just my opinion :)

Love the comment - but I wouldn't meet anyone without chatting to them on here and then probably chatting on the phone - even then I would be wary - but the other option is becoming more isolated than I already am - just my opinion :)
