Topic: Another senseless shooting!

how about if people don't want to live like animals OR be treated like them, and they call the police expecting them to do their JOB and not play judge jury and executioner?

If you can make all that happen, I only have one question...

Can I have a unicorn for my birthday?

lol. it already happens for PLENTY of people, which is why they cant believe it ever DOESNT happen for others.

That's one take on it, the sunshiny take on it...

Then there's the other side. Which seems to be more evident. They simply don't care. In their version of Marie Antoinette, it's not "let them eat cake", it's "let them eat lead".

They're "thugs", "animals", and "an infestation". They are beneath them. To these people, they are insignificant, they're not even human beings. So they don't deem them worthy of any compassion or understanding.

I was talking to a friend one time, that happened to be Jewish. We were discussing what the thought process was for a camp guard, that could feed people into the ovens all day, and then go home, kiss his wife, and play with his children.

My friend told me: "the first step, is to dehumanize them. They don't see them as people, so it's not that much different than someone working at a slaughterhouse. Nobody cares about the cow, as long as they get their hamburger."

I think we're seeing the same dynamic here

Exactly what I feel too, regarding how easy it is to start down a dark path by dehumanizing others first to justify what is done to them.

There are plenty other thugs just like him. Maybe you should go coddle them before they shoot someone and get killed by the police.

dont be sorry. I am too. There is no reason to ASSUME a kid is dispensable enough to shoot them in the back when they run in fear, from you, from a cop, from their parents .... it doesnt matter

kids are kids, they get scared they do silly things, but if they have not THREATENED you and are fearful enough to run away, it doesnt then give someone carte blanche to shoot them down.

so how do you explain him hanging out with thugs that shot someone?
that to me shows poor judgement?

I dont explain it. It might be bad judgment. but it STILL is not justification to shoot him in the back because he was scared enough to run.

tell me, is it poor judgment to shoot a running kid in the back as much as it is for a kid who is with someone who committed a crime to run from police?

Did any of you see that thug that stabbed all those kids yesterday. They were 3 and 4 year olds. I would say he is nothing more than an animal. Maybe you can defend him. I'm sure he probably wrote a poem or drew a picture too.

It might be bad judgment? ya think?

Im not a cop that faces danger every day, how is he supposed to know if the kid is an honour role student?

I would assume police dispatcher conversation went like this?

Dispatcher: attention all units, shots fired and someone is down, ambulance has been dispatched to the scene

maybe the dispatcher should have said

Attention all units , shots fired, the boy in the car is a 17 year old honour student using bad judgement hanging out with thugs, please use caution.

only if life was that simple?

oh, but it is. Police are not supposed to ASSUME the housewife is actually distributing meth from her house, or the running kid is a threat.

dont shoot kids in the back ... its VERY simple actually. They even have drills for cops in training where cut outs pop up and they have to make a decision whether to shoot or not, I dont think any of the pop ups are of someone RUNNING AWAY though.

That is why they are cops and paid and trained, unlike the average joe.

But don't worry ms H. They politely asked him to leave the night before because of his behavior. A police officer didn't keep the community safe. So non of your people will protest

Police officers cant act on what someone MIGHT do, only on what they have done or are doing that breaks the law. In which case, they have to do what that broken law calls for them to do (arrest, detain, etc).

They did what they should have.

And you are right. 'My' people, people that are not ANIMALS but have human decency, will not protest legal justice of those who kill kids.

Maybe you should explain to your people that police carry guns because they will do more than detain you. Especially when you run.

My people are just fine. worry about 'your' people. All people should tell COPS, however, that their guns are for protection only and not for impulsive executions.

MY people aren't cop haters and obey the law. We go through this every couple of years. As soon as one is over it begins again. Which means board up your businesses and hide the tv's and sneakers.

and you know this how? do you know how many law enforcement officers have been killed on duty because the criminal got the drop on them?

its easy to be a monday morning armchair quarterback and say what would you do but in reality when the nerves and adrenaline kicks in things happen and people react differently no matter how much training one has , the cop doesnt have xray vision either.

How many of those criminals got a drop with their back turned in full speed running mode ...?

like I said, there is not going to be justification for this.

Many jobs are not easy, doctor, fireman, policeman, military, but that is understood and accepted when you receive and accept that first PAYCHECK, so if you get those paychecks you should be prepared (and trained) to DO YOUR JOB, danger is not an excuse to think otherwise.

lol, again with the 'you leftists' ...lol

anyway though. ...

So what IF he was a 'weak' kid? Is that the excuse to shoot him in the back?

nothing has happened to personal responsibility, nothing has happened to the development of a teen mind or the power of fear either ...

seriously Miss Harmony, am I speaking in tongues? Swahili, Canadian French, pig Latin?

Just like your comrade friend Sergei Yuschevich viperrovski, pointed out earlier about white kids stealing candy from the story or something like it a silly analogy .

When a person (regardless of race or age) was involved in a shooting, cops takes no chance, its unfortunate that the kid died from being shot from the cops but the bottom line and you have to look at the entire picture the kid wasn't running because he stole Candy bars or pop from the store.

hopeless ....

key word "THE KID"

you keep bringing up the fact that he was a " kid" like they couldn't be that dangerous. Do you remember who shot the kids at Columbine high school? ., A kid, two of them...so as far as in the cops mind I'm sure he's not thinking this is a kid so he's not a danger to me..
