Before anyone gets bent out of shape, I have lots of gay friends, but I'm not supporting them! I have enough to support my five girls!

Of course (for the most part) gay folks were born that way. Ask yourselves this, when did I decide/choose to be straight?

And as for the fellow that claims that "god" didn't make "man to date man," did "god" make woman to date woman? Did "god" make certain percentages of all other animals "gay"* yet chose to make humans strictly straight?

*scientists who study such things have found that almost all animals have documented cases of strictly homosexual behaviour.

If you want to join the ARMY..it is definitely an impairment

ok, but to label it as a disability? i think not.

then why are so many preists...gay?

id wage to bet, in terms of proportions, there are no more gay priests than there are gay librarians. Investigations turned up a whole mess of information at once...but there is not a disproportional number of homosexuals in the priesthood.

I'm not gay and wasn't born gay so I can't answer this question.

sorry

My question is that if they are born that way...should they be classified as disabled and given the same protections offered to other disabled people instead of being belittled and abused by our political system?

How is it a disability just becuase of a lifestyle? You have too much facial hair for my liking, should I put you on the disability list too then?

LOL, give this hairy man his disability check:)

AHW yes, not THERE is a lifestyle. Sitting at home on a computer collecting a disability cheque. *insert eye rolling smilie here*

I agree. I hate trying to have a discussion/debate with someone who uses myth as factual evidence.

Well, a large number of us do believe in God so you should expect at least the easter bunny to make an appearance:)

You should take a few minutes to pray that there is no God because if there is....well.....

I find it rather humorous that the OP is so upset that someone referred to God. This topic asked for opinions. The person that stated their opinion based on their beliefs should have stayed out of the topic because it wasn't what the OP wanted to hear?

Please...if you're going to ask a question in an open forum, allow all people to respond without harrassing them.

It's fine to have religious beliefs, however, believing does not make fact. You cannot base your argument on belief---this is a logical fallacy called "Appeal to Belief," and immediately invalidates the argument.

Yeah. I agree. If you're gay, then you were definatly born that way...

Why would any straight person just decide one day... "hmm i'm gonna be gay from now on and tell my family and friends and just deal with the sudden change in lifestyle"

i don't think so...

Then there's the case of bisexual people. Who can get off from either sex... that's a choice but I say... if you have the capacity to enjoy something, then friggen enjoy it.
