Morning... Winter weather here can be funny. It's been 70 on Christmas before. That's why I can usually fish year round. Last winter was just funky..

Morning Stu I just don't like the frigid cold. Anyways, we're having a rainy day. I thought it was supposed to storm, but I don't hear or see anything, just the rain.

I ice fished when I lived in Traverse City. It was pretty cool. Didn't catch anything though.

actually most i know use live bait, shiners mostly. check out bob houses/ice fishing They use those here to catch monster Stripe. I used to use them, found it easier to use artificial.

i think mostly it is to get the fix in winter and to escape. just like deer camp during hunting season

Yes, and if you have a shanty, it's pretty toasty warm. Even without the shanty, just being out there is pretty cool so long as you have good winter gear on.
