I have a single brother who is 51... quite handsome and athletic . However I worry he will remain single again forever .., he told me he met a woman last week who had a body to die for but her face looked old .. she was 40... He said the date went well and they seemed to get along .. but he was just not attracted enough .. , I gave him a sisterly slap and told him to get real !!!! Is it unrealistic to want the total package .,, i understand preferences and not wanting to settle ., but being realistic also has its benefits . Sigh. I want dinner on the table at 5:37PM every single day....alas....no such woman can deliver this for me. Where....oh where is this sweet goddess who can? |

Has your brother said he wants to someday get married? Maybe he prefers to be single? It sounds like the two of you are really close, and it's only natural to want the best for him... But maybe "your best" for him isn't "his best" for him? Just a thought. Personally, I don't think it's unrealistic to want the whole package. I hear all the time, including here in the forums, about women who want and expect that, so why is it so unreasonable for a man to want and expect the same thing? If the tables were turned and it was you instead of your brother... would you be realistic and go for him even though he didn't appeal to you? Good post btw... very thought provoking and interesting |

Blondey my sweet NZ flower, no it is not unrealistic for him to want the total package. Why should he settle for only half of the package he wants? Sure, you only want the best for him but he is the only person that knows exactly what he wants. You need to let him make up his own mind. Give him advice, give him your opinion and let him know what you think of his choices but in the end let him have the final say. P.S. I have a beach here also. I bought some sand from Walmart and spread it on my front lawn. Hope there is a pool to go with the sand poetry Yes there is. It rained last night so there is a pool. |
