Topic: Your sense of adventure? | |

1- lowest to 5- highest
Your innate personality I think I'm close to a 5, because people have looked at me like I'm nuts a few times in my life. Career choice Chose to live in Middle East, travel a bunch since it was cheaper from there Divorced what everyone thought was "a really nice guy Skydivedimages Parasailed after 3 acl surgeries Vacations alone, including to several in NYC and LA And now, at a transition point in my life, all my stuff in storage soon, I am pondering driving to NYC to a place from roommates.com to fulfill my dream since HS of living in NYC. What do you consider your level of adventure? |

No sense of adventure left whatsoever. New frontiers, yes, new places, no. Been there done that. But I am thrilled GS that you have the bug, and OMG to take off for NYC..alone!! Many people, towards the end of their lives have said they regret the things they did not do..rather than the things they did..so good luck and I sure hope you don't get any weirdos for roommates! |

I'm careful. Always have been on first dates, too. Pic of license plate, though I rode with no one. Always told one of my kids who I was out with, and their number.

NYC has its very own energy, you can feel very tiny there.
But man, there is a lot to do in a compact area! Getting used to taxiing everywhere and a lot of inner-city noise. But some who are born/raised there have a hard time living elsewhere they are so attuned to that special accelerated pace of life that does not seem to exist other places. I loved it. Best of luck. Don't make us bail you out ;-) |

I'm not on my deathbed, but it is for sure something I would think if I didn't do it ~ if only for a little while. I have vacationed there, taken quite a few family trips there when my oldest was in college in NJ. |

Kinda 0 for me. Though moving to Ireland and starting from scratch, was prolly an adventure.

In my present condition just going to the bathroom can be an adventure fraught with dangers, LOL.
In my healthier days, I was known as "Crazy". I was a "climber". Not safety harness cliff climbing. When I was a kid in the 60s I was 'Spiderman'. Climbed all over all the buildings in my home town with my friends. Trees, steeples, construction sites, anyplace that proved to be a challenge to scale. On your scale I would say I was a 4 but now a 1.5 because I am no longer healthy enough to do what I used to. |

I do have a sense of adventure, mostly cos I have a very strong sense of personal freedom. Unfortunately that comes with having money as well, haha.
I don't consider divorcing what is considered a 'good man' adventurous though, more like common sense. If you're not happy, you're not happy and you take care of business to get happy again. I've done that too. Twice. - Been to Oz on my own, barely 20 yrs old. I just stayed behind there after a holiday with very little money and English that was average at best (school English). - Lived in an Aboriginal community for 5 months - Moved to another country for 2 years (Indonesia). - Traveled through Indonesia when I lived there. Traveled across Java on my own to Bali and stayed there for 2 months, went to Irian Jaya -inlands too where people (Papuas) wore penis gourds at the time. - Went to the States on my own. - Drove to and through England myself, with my 2 young kids. Talk about adventure: Driving on the WRONG freaking side of the road! - Been involved with a narcissist fro 10-11 years. That was quite the adventure, not a pleasant one, haha. - Got on stage to sing, present, do backing vocals and percussion. For a woman who always suffered from serious self-esteem and confidence issues, a major feat in life! |
