It's a scam if a member is saying it. The site already has your email address if they want to verify

Because people can get personal info on you, where you live, family, etc. You can send messages without giving out personal info. If the site needs to contact you, they can use your email you gave when signing up or contact you through the site. Not sure what would be helpful at this point |

instead of making fun of me when im already nervous, try HELPING.
a popup came up in my messages and it said i needed to enter a code to send messages, there were instructions if my phone number was outside the US( Which it isn't) so i entered it it said received and it asked for the verification code, it was sent in about 2 seconds to my phone, it said please enter code and it was 7 numbers i believe, and the phone number it was sent from , i deleted it. |

Yup they are correct. I have used a research database to verify the identity of a couple of people who i was in contact with on other sites for a long time. I had that verication thing pop up on the main site once myself. I think it was because i was reported as an undersirable. |

i just got asked to prove im real to send messages by putting in my cell phone and getting a code, which i did and i entered it, is that any kinda scam? seems ok, but im just curious if anyone else got it. Yes, it is a scam. Use the Abuse Report link on a private message to report anyone who requests your telephone number for verification. The link should take you to a page where you can report the sender as sending an inappropriate private message. ~ David, Site Moderator |

Due to you had been reported or labeled as a scammer you were cleared and that is a automatic message that goes out once you have been cleared.... But normally any other message you get from mingle2 to verify they will verify you by sending a link to your e-mail you have on site... |
