if any person can give a valid reason why they need to have any weapon that fires a round as fast as you can pull the trigger i'd like to hear it... Do you need it to shoot 50 deer in 3 minutes ?? Do you need in case 50 robbers are breaking in your house ?? Do you need it to take on the the tyrannical government that just pulled in your driveway in a armored personnell carrier ??? give me a ANY reason why you NEED a semi-auto weapon ??? now it's semi autos? Just like I said before, it never stops... There's no compromise or common ground with liberals, you people want to much without any regards to anyone who's not a liberal... You guys want this war, bring it on, it's going to be a bloody day when they come for my guns... full-auto are already banned...semi-auto's are exactly what we are talking about...it's not a war it's a discussion..and just as the ban exists on full-auto if the semi-auto is also banned you'll obey the law or face the consequences..just like someone driving their car 100mph in a school zone does

i'll suggest an idea... how about expanding backround checks to allow 30 days to complete them ??? is there a reason someone can't wait more than 3 days to take possession of their assault weapon ?? i think a 30 day waiting period would allow for a more in-depth vetting process... this would especially apply to persons who already have purchased an assault weapon(s) How long ago ? has their life changed or become stressed or have they began abusing their spouse or children since their last purchase ? what's the big hurry...use your other gun and if everything checks you can pick this new one up next month.. whats wrong with waiting 30 days to evaluate any purchase..?? any objections or other suggestions on backround checks ??? no problem...I'll even suggest a step further... Make everyone show they have a way to keep the guns locked up as well, either by showing a receipt of a gun safe purchase, or they have to buy a trigger lock with the purchase...that one kid in Jersey, I think, stole his mother's guns to kill those kids... And his mother..

Not needed, we already have on campus security at all schools here. they are called SRO's (school resource officers) and they carry those big ol' Glock auto's with the extended round clip. I think they can handle the situation very well. But thanks anyway.

Some Teachers are already caring a gun in some schools. Also other officials in their administration. It was on our News tonight. Seems some cities are just behind in security in their students protection.

when you attend the funerals of these murdered children i'm sure grieving survivors will be comforted hearing words like this... "there there children, everything will be alright, we responsible adults are working diligently to stop these things from happening to you...We are planning to have all your teachers armed with guns to protect you from the bad guys" These young adults want something done about the gun culture they have been brought into, they want real change and they are not going quit until the adults present viable common sense solutions to gun control.. arming their teachers with MORE guns, turning their classrooms into 30x30 battlefields, is NOT acceptable, they demand more.. it amazes me that proponents of arming teachers, seem to think that the "armed Goodguy" always wins the gunfight against the "BadGuy" ...that is bunk, at the least, it's a 50-50 chance the bad guy shoots the teacher FIRST then kills the kids.. and says nothing to the idea that the bad guy might be wearing a Bproof vest which give him a significant advantage in any gun battle with a teacher most likely armed with a pistol arming the teacher ? .....imo, terrible idea you make a good point if your talking about 1 or 2 teachers armed. But my point is if you remove the stigma of " a gun free zone" and 25 , 50,or 70 percent of the adults may be armed,then you might think twice about going in and start shooting. Most of these killers are cowards and have an agenda to make a statement, it's hard to do that with bullets coming your way.

Here's a reason: I want a weapon that can shoot as many bullets as it takes to stop the crazy maniac hopped up on meth. banning all guns should be off the table, so should putting more guns out there ... imho both are reactionary only and not much of a solution, as one ignores a right and the other puts more potentially unstable gun carriers around our children I have heard of one LONE person ever seriously suggesting 'taking' guns away(meaning removing by force something one possesses) but I am sadly hearing many who believe the answer to gun violence is more guns ...

Academy Sports & Outdoors sells a 33-round magazine that is made for the Glock 17.

I'll see if I can look it up, maybe some kind of loophole... That seems way excessive for public use...

I did think about it, one is about what gets sold and its safety, the other is about the right to have what ends up being sold. Not a problem.
