Truly hateful. And I don't know if there is more of it because its more acceptable to be spiteful and heartless,

or if it seems more because media highlights it ,, but its scary regardless.

I don't know if there is more of it because its more acceptable to be spiteful and heartless,

or if it seems more because media highlights it

A guy in a township, population around 3,600, kills a woman.
That's reported by a paper from a different city, same state.
That's picked up by a paper from New York.
You're reading about it in, California(?) or whatever state, city, county you're in.
Same story is also on different national news sites (like Fox).

Personally, I'd see it more as a reciprocal feedback loop.

It happens, it's reported, it's spread all over, people pay more attention, media looks for more like it, people read it, start thinking it's common, have less of a reaction, perpetuate more of it, it gets reported more, more people read it, on and on etc. ad infinitum.

Any ways to make it harder... for things like this to happen?

Stay off the internet and form greater emotional bonds and financial interdependence with your neighbors and community, spend all your free time maintaining those relationships.

Anger issues will out.
Eventually.

People must learn ways to diffuse their anger.
A 'go to' plan when it comes upon you.

I like to take a shower.
And sing.

Or..
watch kittens and puppy videos :-)

My psychologist told me: - Write a letter to the person who makes you nervous, and burn it. - Okay ..... And with a letter what to do ?????

The main thing is to be happy, and no matter what conclusion the psychiatrist writes.

Not to turn this into something...

But it seems the woman wasn't very well liked and a b**** to her neighbors.

Of course that's no reason for him to have done such a horrible crime.. Guess dude just snapped.. Article doesn't really give much insight into his motive, other than I guess he just didn't like her.

We live in an f'd up world...

.....much like the link in this post to the article... I had to fix it to get it to work laugh
