cuz it's really hard to use my snowmobile in the mud
and quite a few fruit and veggies need it to produce properly

Is this a rhetorical question?

It keeps the atmosphere from getting too thick.
See, in autumn (Fall) the atmosphere begins to fall.
Winter freezes it and spring lets it melt and start to rise again.
Then in the summer, it gets really thick and sticky again.
Sometimes the atmosphere freezes so thick, you have to shovel it out of your way. You know this is true because you don't have to shovel it in the summer, do you?
The Earth spins. This pushes the thick atmosphere near the poles. That's why you get more snow the closer you get to the poles. Its a convection thing.
That's also why there is no winter at the equator.

Because without winter people wouldn't have needed to invent things like, fireplaces, hot tubs, bear-skin rugs, hot toddies, and weemins dressed in Santa Claus suits.

The purpose of winter is to give plants a rest. If they don't need tending you can enjoy time by the fireplace. Long cozy nights.

Here in S Florida where we have about 9 months of summer, winter is a time to take the T-tops off and enjoy the beautiful weather
