I like horror movies but I have to admit when the scary parts come I do that thing where you put your hand in front of your face but spread your fingers wide open and kind of peek at what's going on
.lol.. I don't know why I do this I can still see all the gore.. but if it becomes too much I just close my fingers.. I know I know I'm a big .baby.

I've read this whole horror fan thread and decided, I'm not much of a fan of the movies. I read many Stephen King books and they are better than the movies.

If any of you haven't seen it, I suggest you check out Carnival of Souls (1962 version). It is a an independent low budget very eerie and atmospheric film.

Train to Busan and Howl (2015) are amazing movies, with a different touch, perhaps because they are not American. I have a thing with trains. Whatever movie takes place on a train. I watch it. Not so good, and perhaps a Sci fi thriller more than horror, there is this train movie called Snowpiercer.

You might like a few I've seen...
Train (2008) college kids on a train (brutal)
Midnight Meat Train (2008) butchery on a train
Creep (2004) Stalker-Killer train flick
Otoshimono (2006) Japanese Ghost Train
End of the Line (2007) Homicidal Cult on a train
Chum thaang rot fai phii (2007) Train of the Dead (Thailand ghost train)

My Entry:

The Babysitter (2017)
TV-MA | 1h 25min | Comedy, Horror | 13 October 2017 (USA)

Cole (Judah Lewis) is madly in love with his babysitter (Samara Weaving) Bee. She's hot, funny, and popular. One night, in a moment of defiance, Cole secretly stays up his bedtime to discover she's actually a cold-blooded killer who's in league with the Devil. He now must spend his night evading Bee's band of killers who will stop at nothing to prevent Cole from spilling their dark secret. It's up to Cole to survive the night (and blow up a few people along the way).

Fun movie with some interesting (creative) kills.

"House on Haunter Hill". It is not as scary as today's horror flicks but when you are a kid it is pretty scary.

desperately waiting for the new 'It' movie to become available. Likely not going to watch it alone, but with him. He wants to see it too, and then he can hold my hand and I can burrow real close. I hate watching scary movies on my own, lol.

The best honnor movie or movies i seen so far is both conjuring movies. There were times or moments in the movie when you know something is about to happen to one or both of the characters, you find yourself screaming or yelling at them not to go there and so you find yourself laughing to keep yourself from crying or screaming with terror of getting up out of your sit because that scene of terror and dredd is upon you so quick. Well that where i found myself laughing with tears of horror. We all been there weather as kids or adults. So I bring on the laughter of fear.

I just got a clean copy of the film. Reviews I've read state it is a disappointment. I have the original, thinking about watching the original first then the remake to get an accurate comparison. I wasn't really that impressed with the original anyway. Who knows...

My entry:
Animal (2014)
Not Rated | 1h 26min | Action, Adventure, Horror | 1 February 2015 (Germany)
When plans for a weekend vacation hit a dead end, a group of close-knit friends find themselves stranded in unfamiliar territory, pursued by a menacing, blood thirsty predator. Holed up in an isolated cabin, tensions mount as long-buried secrets are revealed. As the body count rises, the group must put their differences aside and fight for survival.

Pretty decent monster movie. I liked the gnarly creature designs and the action wasn't bad either.

^^^^ I've tried the new one (It) twice. Could not get past the first 15 minutes either time. I'll give it one more try.

Just finished watching the film and I think it surpasses the original in so many ways. The original Pennywise was lame compared to this thing. Part Two promises to be just as good if they hold to the production values demonstrated in this one.

My Entry:

I felt the first movie was rather disappointing as it wasn't nearly as good as the book. The trailer I've seen from this new one is really promising, and indeed esp Pennywise is totally freaky, hihi.
Even the trailer had me spooked and completely sucked me in, even though it was just a few minutes long.
Now for finding a clean copy... did you find that online?

Yes, IT is a bit scarier! But the original movie is better, I think.
I think the SAW movies are pretty scary!
