....to recognize the time line of our lives..

I just tripped on seeing Andre 3000 in "Be Cool" as a reference for 2005.....Good Will Hunting for the 90s...etc.

Star Wars (77)...I remember being in one of the first surround sound theatres.

What movie gives you a time reference in your life?

"Smokey and the Bandit"! Saw it in a drive-in, one of the last times I was there and was near where I grew up. I think I was around 11 years old? So remember, I was with my brother, about 9 years older than me, and a bunch of his guy friends. We had a big truck and they were off goofing around, drinking beer and I was kinda the only one watching the movie. I thought the movie was great and one of my favorites even now, and Burt Reynolds is still my favorite actor. What can be a better movie memory?

Feeling the Drive ins!

I was visiting back in California first seeing "Smokey". My cousin and I were allowed to skateboard (all by ourselves) to theatre from Grandparents house.

First time ever being aware of Jackie Gleason (Honeymooners came later).

Can't imagine how worried parents were!

Different time.

Enter the Dragon
1973
Bruce Lee's final completed movie.
Was 10 years old and he was my idol. Had my dad buy me his book, think it was the"way of the warrior". Venice Beach theater, then spend the rest of the day, trying to surf!!!
Such great memories!

Shaft, 1971, with Richard Roundtree. Some called it Blacksploitation but I saw it as cool and groundbreaking to have a black star play the lead role. And the Isaac Hayes sound track, just amazing.

Young Frankenstein! LMAO! Still one of the best comedies ever.
