i was was gonna bring some to the big party next week end but i was uninvited That party may get moved, so be glad you weren't invited. Think of the hassle you don't have to go through now changing your flight dates and seats

Omg crystal, we had the most amazing Chinese in Amsterdam, the main road up from the square. .mostly Chinese business people eating out, possibly the best I've had! Didn't get chance to have indonesian though which is what I wanted. Not sure why you don't have Dutch bacon, you should try it sometime Remember when the mad cow thing was going on, I was stopped at the port as I had beef flavoured crisps! Well, try the Indonesian next time :) Although I don't think there's many Indonesian-only restaurants? Isn't it odd though that Chinese is different everywhere? My Essex friends didn't know any of the meals that were on the menu. I'd have thought babi panggang or babi ketjap would be on any Chinese menu, haha. And my daughter told me Chinese in the States is also very different. So in a way you don't get Chinese at all then do you? Otherwise it would be the same everywhere. THey just tweak what used to be Chinese to cater for local taste. Actually, come to think of it, not even sure babi ketjap (pork in soysauce, yummie!) is really Chinese? Might be Indonesian, not certain. Oh well.. I had chicken soup tonight and beef Teriyaki

They definitely cater for local taste. like Indian, chicken tika masala is unique to the UK. They never have it, it was made because some guy wanted gravy year's ago lol

state side chinese is varied and and sort of a catch all cantonese and saschwen are just 2

I like Cantonese, but one thing that stays the same is chop sticks, what the hell are they about? No wonder the Chinese are always squinting!

Then I thought the saying "going Dutch " as in sharing the bill. is this the same crystal?
