I was a truck mechanic.
Well, garbage trucks are trucks and I have worked on many of them.
Not all of them were empty either. Even the empty ones stink and have lil surprises.

One time I came back from Thanksgiving and had to work on a loaded garbage truck. One of the hydraulic cylinders in the back that works the blades to pack the truck had blown a line. Not only was there hydraulic oil everywhere, the hopper was full of stinky crusty hopper juice and the blades were covered in gunk. I had to crawl up in there and work. During the job, I needed leverage and leaned across and felt something squishy under my elbow. It was an old moldy baby diaper full of what came out of the baby. Yeah, I ralphed.

One Monday I came into the shop and was met with the worst smell I ever experienced. Yep, there was another garbage truck in the bay. It was summer and this truck got towed in on Friday night for transmission problems. What stunk so very bad was that it was filled with fermented yard waste and the shop was closed all weekend. There were big puddles of a blackish green liquid under it. Maggots made the floor look like it was moving. They were falling off the truck like rain. The truck had a bad tranny so it had to be fixed right there. Even after hosing the floor and the truck with water the smell and the maggots remained. I had to crawl under that truck, remove the tranny, change out the components that didn't come with the new one and put the assembled one back in place. Let me tell you, it was nasty.
While under the truck something dropped and hit the corner of my lip. It didn't go inside my mouth because I kept my mouth shut but whatever it was stunk right into my nose. No matter how many times I washed my face the stink was there till I went home and showered.
I tolerated those days for the sake of my job.

There are a lot of things that I don't like.
Other things that make me go eww...

Anything having to do with human waste where it shouldn't be is eww.
Hoarders houses are ewww.
Houses with too many cats or dogs is way eww.
Houses with cockroach infestations where they are everywhere you look is ewww.
Rodent infestations are ewww.

In general, someone cooking in a dirty kitchen is eww. Even worse if they don't wash their hands before handling food.
Lack of personal hygiene is eww. (I do like women with messy hair - sexy)

I watch a lot of horror movies. The sight of blood or gore doesn't phase me but the smell of blood makes me queasy and sick.

On the whole uncrowded beach, why does the hairy backed fat guy in a speedo have sit directly in front of me?

I can have a lot of ewws
but I believe rotten potatoes makes me gag...
and the smell of skunks... I gag...
as the list goes on ...some colognes and perfumes make me gag... so weird ...once you have a child
your senses are different ... I use to be able to handle a lot ...
but after ...know way on somethings ...
