Definitely;this is a relevant topic in the lives of all of us(active life..);you have said it all(or almost..)in your comments; a simple question for a complex topic.I'm trying to comment and thinking at the same time.

LOVE,SEX and HAPPINESS...what a trio!!..woow!!

For a single person;who tries to find and enjoy happiness every single day in several ways;regular or occasional sex;can be an essential part of existence as a normal human being;IF he/she considers it like that.Sex completes happiness;sex with or without love involved.Sex for a single person is not complicated;it's a personal choice and decision. Happiness with or without it.

Sex within the couple is another very different situation. If the formal relationship has been built based in love and sex(and more..);happiness can be ruined or even disappear if sex is absent in everyday lives;putting the relationship itself in a risky field(rupture or divorce). On the other hand;if the couple decides to decrease the frequency of sex or stop it for specific reasons;keeping the best level of possible happiness;life goes on

If sex is absent or almost in the couple for other bizarre reasons;happiness and love are ruined; then....separation or divorce;is coming..

Thanks for your interesting comments for this topic

have a wonderful weekend

Ya know, Veterans find happiness and purpose without limbs. Cancer survivors find immense pleasure in a sunrise as we all should imo. Helen Keller wrote with incredible depth and joy.

Healthy sex is an immense joy and pleasure of sharing. I'm definitely a fan!......but I find these poses/questions incredibly lacking depth, dimension, and daft.

The dilemmas of the obvious are not worth contemplating.

Can I be happy without sex? Sure, I was the first 18 years of my life!

Seriously, for me, sex is one of the most intimate expressions of love.

It would be difficult to be in a loving relationship where sex was absent due to an emotional or physical disability.

We would have to modify our behavior and do what ever we could to pleasure one another within the limits of that disability.

It could, or would, make me frustrated, but I would still be happy and in love.

Happiness and Sex aren't necessarily a pair at all and sometimes the second can take away from the first depending on who you're with and what situation.

Agree

it's like being told no more caffeine or chocolate or beer or ..

say your favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate
oh sure the others are ok
but they are just not chocolate
and one day the doctor says
no more chocolate ice cream
do you substitute with other things?
try to find some variety in your life?
try to convince yourself you never really loved it
to begin with? of course..

and you get used to it over time
as you sit there eyeballing your mundane scoop of vanilla..

can you survive the rest of your life without it? of course
maybe if I add some sprinkles...
do you sometimes think about it...

ok maybe if I stir this up..
do you wake in the night dreaming of it..

uh maybe if I just eat it faster
do you wish people would quite making threads
reminding you about it

yes, yes I do frustrated
