The star of TV's The Saint and 7 outings as 007 James Bond has died at 89, after a short battle with cancer.
Thank you, sir. I've appreciated being entertained by decades of your work. |

My first memories of Roger Moore was when he was the saint, not sure how old I was. Get actor and a gentlemen. Didn't realise how old he was!

He lived up to 89 while battling with cancer....probably if he didn't have cancer he would have lived up to 150

RIP Roger Moore. Condolences to the Moore family. The Bond films are one of my favorite sets of films to watch. Also to the Bond fans out there I highly recommend the Bond comic book series (AKA graphic novels) that has come out through both Dark Horse and Dynamite (which continues to publish them).the first Bond film I saw was "A view to a kill" which was the last one Roger Moore did.

Respectable age for sure!
For me the first time seeing him was Ivanhoe. I fell in love even though I was just a young girly. I've always had this thing for knights, can't help it... Knights, castles, chivalry, damsels in distress, King Arthur & Guinevere... maybe I'm a romantic after all |

I heard about this on the radio this morning. Sorry to hear. I did not know he was that age, but i hadn't heard anything about him in a few years. I think of him as James Bond, but probably my generation. I think of the movie Cannonball Run and him in it. I know it's a silly movie, but he's kind of making fun of himself. If you like Roger Moore, go check out Cannonball Run.
