Peace ? I am not going to be blinded by all of the wars ...
not anymore ... it is men and women who create war ... I might
pray for those that know not what they do ... or do they ?

I pray for peace for everyone around the world.

I pray for war just as I pray for cleansing forest fires that remove the detritus choking new and abundant growth.

Peace is the too short fence keeping the deer away from the overabundant crops leading to overpopulation.

Peace means the creation of individuals empowered to reduce the population of undesirable deer based on their own biased criteria of the "greater good."

War is more like natures uncontrollable random forest fire that only lives where necessary and dies out as soon as it can't support itself naturally.

War is necessary.
Peace has always lead to individuals trying to control it at the cost of killing those that even hint at threatening it.

I will never pray for peace, but I will appreciate it when it develops naturally as evidenced by people having enough and more things to do than even think about or consider going to war.

Taking off from Ciretom's thoughts, I'll put in that achieving peace can be wonderful or not, depending on how it's done.

Here in the world of dating, we have similar potential for well intended ideas, such as "praying for peace," to go awry. There are a lot of classic "be careful what you ask for, you may get it in a manner you didn't anticipate" aspects to human life.

 Good point! I find that often times when you pray for something, you may not get exactly that, but rather an opportunity for it to happen. Like praying for patience. Suddenly you find yourself in situations that drive you crazy until you learn to be patient.

Hmmm... thinking about Abraham Hicks... if you are going to pray for peace you are actually indirectly saying there is no peace, that something is wrong that needs to be fixed.
By doing so you feed the non-peace vibe, you do not help achieve peace.

If you truly want peace for everyone everywhere you have to become peace yourself. Become love, flow love for everything and everyone. By doing that you add to the positive, you touch other people with your positive loving vibe -including strangers in the street. That way ripples of love, peace, happiness can start to spread out over the world. More people will join as they're touched by love, and then things will start to change.
This may seem like futile and the long way around, but in actual fact it is the shortest route and it is the only route.
Like Abraham Hicks says; "One person who loves is stronger than millions who don't."
If more people listened to Abraham Hicks and understood what it was about, we would have had world peace years ago.

Focusing on praying for peace, and thus indirectly affirming the lack of it, does NOT help.

Amen to that. Thank you Abraham
