I know this can be banned to the depths of the less viewed subjects.

If I believe different than you, yet we still have the commonality of wanting to be basically "good people"...

Is it still a deal breaker?

Believe as in what?
believe pork is bad for ya, believe couples should do this that or the other?
Believe going to bed late isn't healthy, believe I have to quit smoking?

Or believe we have to read the bible, go to church and fear god, that kind of thing?

If about religion, could indeed be a deal breaker. I'm not a fan of religion, does not compute with my own spiritual views at all. So if someone is quite strict in his religion, yes, deal breaker.

If you believe I should quit smoking? I agree. I will light another one though, lol

Oh, and having to fear god, yes, absolute deal breaker!

I suspect if we could agree on what good people are there would be room for disagreement elsewhere.

But it would also probably require a degree of agreement as to the causes of becoming good people

Bottom line the degree to which we agree on values will determined the success or otherwise of a union this includes valuing anothers values that are not in total agreement with ones own.

Or put simply it would depend upon the degree that we could comfortable agree to disagree

Or to complicate it some more
It may depend if my partner objects to me repeating myself tooo often

We'd totally agree, haha.

But could be difficult. I'm more like at least trying to accept the other as is and not try to change him. But I am honest, and I do admit that if he'd wear briefs, I'd have a difficult time not replacing them with boxers, lol. (tight ones, I don't like the other type at all)
Then again, such things shouldn't be major issues... If you'd hate their briefs more than love them, not good.
I really do hate briefs though... hahaha

I don't think I would be attracted to a woman who liked everything I liked.. agreed with everything I did

A good woman keeps a good man in check..by bringing her perceptive into things. And a smart man.. listens to that.

When I was a kid, I did not believe in doing assignments outside of class.
So, I told my teacher, "My dogma ate my homework."

I think it depends on the maturity of the couple.

I'm in between, I wear boxer-briefs, the support of briefs without the sores caused by the elastic leg bands.

Squeezing the toothpaste from the middle or setting up the toilet paper so it dispenses from under are immediate deal breakers.
