i've been divorced 10 yrs so in that time i've been on many dates...why is it that when the inevitable q of why your marriage/relationship failed and you're single again comes up i give my little 2 minute response...but when i ask the q of the gentleman (98%of the time you are and thank you) sitting across from me...and cross my heart i'm not making this up...he leans forward, takes my hand(s)in his lowers his head, lets out a big sigh and says "i don't know..she just left me"... how can you not see anything coming...any little sign...ok a small % of us may just blindside you and say..."get out"...but come on guys...help me understand....it makes me want to run screaming in the opposite direction....thanks

I'm divorced because I wanted out. It wasn't a bad marriage...I was just bored. I don't regret it. He's happily remarried. I've been single for 13 years. And guess what? I'm perfectly ok with that.

Honestly, why would you want to talk about that on a date anyway? Tell him to piss off with that stuff and you'll tell him later so he won't even have to attempt the 'poor me' thing. Dates are supposed to be fun. But to answer your question they're probably just too insecure to admit any kind of faults. Next time go right ahead and run in the opposite direction... you may bump into a stud.

she said i drank too much (i quit totaly now)

she said i yelled too much (prolly cause i drank but went to anger mgt anyway)

she changed alot she lost 150lbs and decided she had only been with one person in her life and needed to figure out who she was.

My Wige left cause I told her she needed to cut her kids loose and make them grow up and not depend on us to pay thier bills. One is 26 with 2 kids 2 different dads and never been married Who wants to party rather than get a job. The other is 28, married has 3 kids and does nothing but sit at his house and drink beer all day and will not get off his butt and get a job.

Was that a reason to leave ?
