People do and say inconsistent and hypocritical things. Political affiliation is a nice scapegoat for ignoring others concerns

. .I see it as "Kardashian Syndrome" where people seek attention anyway they can. Any publicity is good publicity. Use social media to push your cause, gain a cult fallowing and let the flock of sheep grow. Join a group just to be a part of a group. When only half the protester actuallyvoted you know they really don't understand the cause. The candidates have teams of people to deal with the media and they push for what they want advertised. They also have groups of people that tell them what to say, but neither candidate followed that very close. The people have figured out the power of social media, and the need for attention no matter what it takes is only becoming more and more common.
