Lol.ok.. quick little question.. When you date someone does it always have to be going somewhere.. That is!.. are you looking for the ring on your finger..all the time.. are do you date just to keep from being lonely.. . Just to have a companion.. . What category do you fit into..? Dating for companionship not wanting a long-term commitment..? Or are you looking to have a ring put on it.. very serious about the end of game.?.lol.. Or perhaps you're not certain you're just along for the ride and see what happens..?.. Or perhaps you date just for the fun.. The experience of meeting new people..?.. And has your outlook on dating changed.. perhaps you started off just for fun but now you or more serious.. Minded.. or vice a versa...lol .. And.. one other thing..lol.. does your age determine.. your agenda.. Because let's face it apart from Blondie and Sofia.. none of us are getting any younger Geezzz... you know how to flatter a girl! I am not necessarily looking for a "ring" or marriage - but I do want something meaningful and lasting. I do not enjoy dating, so it would be really nice if I met someone I could share time with, be exclusive with, grow old with... but the specifics I don't think about much.
Has this changed - yes. When I was young, I was looking for the ring and the family. :) Things didn't work out quite as I had hoped. |

Yes, I think being financially secure on my own makes me less worried about getting married and being safe - now it's about companionship, feelings, being there for someone, and them being there for me. I am going to need someone to push me around in my wheel chair.

That seems to be the issue wanting what you want and then finding it in another person..hmm .. and then when you do finally find that person that's when.. it does start to get complicated... they have this or that but not that or this.. so you begin to compromise...ie. well that's okay if they have a dry sense of humor and you don't.. you can live with that.. But deep down you really can't.. Are they don't like to travel but you do... but they are financially secure..hmm.. finding that perfect someone seems like a fairytale.. I'm not perfect, so I'm not looking for perfect....it's impossible to find someone that is going to like everything you like, that's why we should be comfortable with compromise. Having different interests and tastes can add flavour to a relationship, plus you never know you might actually like something you thought you didn't.
