Here we go again...

My oldest sons friend was up visiting him and some other friends last night, and almost everyone was drinking except him. His name is Matt Wenton.
He has been clean and sober for about four months now. He was proud and happy.
Anyway, he offered my son and some friends a ride home because they were drinking. They declined and thanked him.
He was killed last night by a drunk woman driver. She crossed over and hit him.
Ironic the way things work out. My son is devastated and hurt very deeply and full of guilt and anger.
I wish for prayers and light for Matts family and friends.

oh my gosh! i am so sorry! i lost a friend last week to a drunk driving accident! its so sad that so many young people are loosing their lives over something such as this!

Brings me back to my belief: Drunk drivers should be immediately be taken outside of city limits and shot.

Sorry for the loss Sometime it is very ironic how these things goes. I hope the boy did not suffer and I do believe GOD felt it was time for him to go home.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Matts family. I have been clean and sober for over 11yrs. I hope they catch or caught the drunk driver who did this May God watch over and protect and guide and comfort Matts family and yours. Tell your son not to blame himself and maybe it is a lesson learned the hard way unfortunately. There is more to life than drinking and partying. One day at a time.
