I did kind of rush the pic search. But, the best lesson I've ever learned is to be happy with what you have. So, I'm sticking with it.

45 is the limit, not a mandatory speed.

45 mph simply = "rate of speed up to and including 45 mph is legal. Over 45 is illegal."

Driving slower on surface streets doesn't really mean you lose time.
Only if you're driving several hundred miles on a trip does it make a different.

Driving faster doesn't really get you anywhere more quickly if you're driving in town.
Whether you go 25,35 or 55 in a 45 mph it won't really change anything.

Unless all the stop lights are timed specifically to driving 45 mph and only 45 mph so you are guaranteed to get them all green as you maintain exactly 45 mph the entire time, never have to turn, and there is never any other traffic.

At best someone driving 30 in a 45 gives you the impression that you've lost control over your freedom and entitlement to the road, and it's in your own head that you are losing time.

IOW it indicates that you are chapping your own azz because of what you think other people are doing to you that they really aren't.

* people who want to drive twenty miles over the limit, and get behind me and flash their lights and honk. Especially the ones in school zones.

* people who think that the fact they paid for something like a show, gives them the right to yell at everyone else who also bought tickets, if they don't chance to follow the same imaginary rules they do.

* Anyone who thinks that it's okay for THEM to break the law, if someone else did it already, or if they are reeeeeeeeely mad.
