I am drawn in by attraction. It does not mean looks though. Once there is something about a guy that attracts my attention (confidence, ambition, articulation, funny,e etc.) so it may be one thing or a conbination of a few; not necessarily looks or personality.

I definitely go with one's personality...
you wouldn't certainly want to be with a narcissist looker, aren't you? |

I would definitely go for the total package of a person , PERSONALITY

Both please! But let's remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, looks may or may not attract me at first, but personality is the most important component. If we get along great and can make each other smile and laugh and enjoy each others company, that's what it is all about.

The Ford Edsel was a well made automobile with innovative features that were ahead of it's time. But a lot of people thought it was an ugly boat. It sold for three years (1957, 1958 and 1959) before discontinuation. It was named after Henry Fords son Edsel Ford. Had Ford put these innovative features in a body style that people liked (for example: Ford Fairlane) it would have sold for more than 3 years.
In, almost , every marketplace LOOKs are the "INITIAL" drawing card to get the public's attention. Call it shallow if you want but Marketing 101 teaches it: The 1965 Ford Falcon and the 1965 Ford Mustang were built on the same chassis and had the same engine. The only difference: "looks and shape of the body of the car. Which one did the public like? After finding a 1) decent looking model car people begin checking out (2 performance capabilities and then 3) reliability factors. All three of these come into play. Question: you're out looking for a used car and found a 1965 Ford Mustang and a 1965 Ford Falcon at similar prices and condition sitting in someones front yard (little old grandma selling cars that had been sitting in her barn for 30 years) which one would you purchase? Dating has similar attracting characteristics when compared to sales. To expect different is unrealistic. This doesn't mean a #10 is expected but there has to be some amount of physical attraction. |

It seems to me that personality alone
can make someone super attractive. |

Well if it's red light window shopping... Looks!
For something real, personality. |
I LOOK for a great personality

Gotta be attracted first, otherwise what's the point of getting to know them if you're not?

A combination of the two. There are aspects of attraction, that are part of who we are,and weather you think so or not,we all have a certain amount of bias. That is not a bad thing, but is a factor that is built in to our DNA.
