Wishes and Dreams

Wishes and dreams
Are like ice creams,
They don't last very long,
Different flavors
For you to savor,
Why is it so wrong?

To wish and dream
A beautiful scene,
To relax and play,
Oh how I wish
To one day fish,
In that beautiful display.

A wish and dream
May one day seem,
So far out of reach,
Oh it would be nice
To be in paradise,
On a beautiful beach.

But for the most part
You stole my heart,
A dream that came true,
She is my love
Sent from above,
Dear God, thank You.

Wishes and dreams
May not seem,
So far out of place,
There's no superstition
To keep on wishin
With a heart full of grace.

So to you my friend
A hand I lend
Always remember the theme,
You can go far
Wishing on a star,
Don't give up your wishes and dreams.

That was pretty Wolfeyes58. You have such a gift. I wrote one years ago, but I don't have a copy of it here with me. Maybe I will recover it when I get some more of my stuff in SC. I hope I can find it. I called it Lonely Heart. When I get it, I will post it up here. Take care. I read on another post that you are from Georgia.
