Disclaimer: This has NOTHING TO DO WITH ME PERSONALLY {only interested in reading mature replies, thank you}

Scenario:

You have been chatting with someone for a month and at some point you two agree to meet and enjoy a nice afternoon out. Once you arrive at the meet up place, the "new friend" gets in your car and you then drive to the final destination date.

Upon getting out of your car, the person attempts to sneak and take a picture of your license plate.

Do you get offended and say something or brush it off and pretend you didn't she what the person was trying to do?

just a safety measure, i wouldn't care... it should be encouraged when meeting up for the first time...

Think the owner of the car should have been made aware of this beforehand? Mighty More?

In the past, I have chatted with a person months and months before I actually met them. And I'm talking like six-nine months tops. No one was as desperate and anxious back then as they seem to be now. Yes catfishibg happened then, but it wasn't as bad.

You can never be sure about a person even after all of that time. I would take a metro and meet up in a busy city. They wouldn't see my car right away.

Its a safety measure incase they get killed and cut up and thrown into the Woods. So the license plate would be a lead...laughlaughslaphead

Not really, car could have been rented, stolen or borrowed.

If it is two women meeting world it be necessary to do that or mainly if it is a woman and man?

The first thing I do when I get out of a strangers car is kiss the ground, that I wasn't taken somewhere and hacked into small pieces...
Then I might snap a picture of their license plate.spock

OK if a woman took the pic then it looks like a safety measure.

If a man does it...oh man! That looks stockerish. ..just saying

Thinking the same thing ...
If a guy did that, I'd feel like phoning the cops ... And I'd make sure I have his plate too, just in case something weird would happen later on.
I would not trust that at all.
And someone with a brain would memorize it and write it down or App it to a friend or whatever, not take a picture of it.
If a man would do that, I wouldn't date him anymore. Freaky fruitcake. Creep.

Hmm. Is that so? I would think the woman is crazy, just as I would think the man is. Women can be coo coo too

Many ppl tell women to actually have a safety net, to always make sure they're safe. And I am all for that too. Depending on where you go of course, and when. During the day for a coffee, slightly different from meeting at night.
I have been there when I sent info on the guy I was going to meet to my safety net ... You just don't know what kind of wacko you're going to meet. And in general men are still stronger than women which makes women more vulnerable.
Friend of mine had a bloke from a dating site turn up at her door out of the blue, and she NEVER gave him her address ... What if he had been a fruitcake?
You simply cannot be careful enough. In the past most men had respect for women, these days not so much.

Indeed I concur.

The question that most seem to dodge is, what if it is two women meeting f2f for the first time? Is it okay then? Is it not okay?
