Canada has very clean election campaigns while our neighbors south of the border have long election campaigns with lots of nasty attacks.
I think that Hillary Clinton will be the next American president as Bernie Sanders has no chance to win and the Americans will not choose Trump as their future president. What is your take?. Thanks.

americans are diverse,,,,there is just no telling

we are very much inundated with poor 'reality tv' behavior,, Trump would best reflect that, but there isn't much to suggest he could lead other than that for many he is the lesser of the evils based on what little information they have about his ability or his positions

republicans will choose trump
democrats will choose Clinton

when it comes down to the two,, its about how many will refuse to vote Clinton vs how many will refuse to vote trump

I doubt the one on one debates will be much more than an intellectual slaughter upon trump, but trump will have the personal insults and deflections lined up

which means, its the 'style' people will vote for

those who hate Clinton will enjoy the bullying personal deflections from trump

and those who hate trump will enjoy the evidence that he has no intellect about what the job requires or how to do it

it really is a mystery which 'style' will win it

Certainly Canada does not have the election circus seen in the US.

The fire is a real tragedy and thousands of hectares went in flames. I am very surprised that the US and the Europeans are not helping and if they are I do not know . These fires show us how weak humans are. Man can go to the moon but he can not stop a hurricane or a flood or a horrible fire.

That is the fault of the Canadian Government. We can't help if you don't ask for it. BTW, the fire is still burning. Say what you will about our political elections.

I ain't this off topic?

You're right, it's indeed a mess.

While I'm not fond of Hillary, I do believe the bulk of this country still cares about it. Besides, I really can't wait for the first Trump-Clinton debate.

Hillary will annihilate him, and the campaign knows it. And you cannot possibly groom a bigoted, deceitful, reality-TV presnted-buffoon for a debate to occupy the highest office in the land. No one has ever done it.

Trump's answers have, to this point, been "I'm looking into that" or "I'm going to do something" or "I'm going to research."

News flash, Donald. You should have been "looking into things" about 5-10 years ago. =)

Do you honestly believe this country is going to vote in someone who so callously and aloofly treats our nation like dirt? Who has absolutely no experience with democracy, foreign relations, economic conditions, defense, etc.?

God no. *rotfl*

Yeah, I'll concede this much. This country is angry at their government, and I am as well. It stinks that the Republican Party sat around roadblocking everything, locked out our government a few times, and fought tooth and nail to keep necessary changes from happening to this nation.

Now that they've "chosen" this buffoon to lead them, they deserve the slow, agonizing death their party is about to receive.

RIP, GOP.

you liberals just can't get off the "Republicans did it" bandwagon, can you?

never mind the bad decisions that have been made for the last eight years, or the fact the military budget is the same as it was when bush was in office, even tho there are no wars we are in right now... or the fact the "hope and change" never actually happened... if you think this is all republicans fault, then you shouldn't call yourself a writer, or even a lowly blogger, because you just can't see or understand whats really going on...

it won't matter who is president, because NOTHING has changed in the last 16 years...

I disagree.

I think a lot of things have happened positively in the last 16 years, but with the advent of the housing collapse, which as you'll recall was started by the Republicans in office who did away with special banking regulations that would have prevented it, things took a sharp nose-dive for us all.

We know a lot of Republicans in power, when Obama took the helm, had made up their minds from the very beginning not to help him.

No compromise. No agreements. No sit-down discussions. Nothing.

And that is REALLY what hurt this country the most. The GOP didn't even TRY.

Now you tell me something...what good is a political party that doesn't even try to help its own people?

Poor Senator!

Senator Barbara Boxer was booed off stage as all hell broke loose at the Nevada Democratic Convention last weekend. She also claims that Bernie Sanders supporters were so unhinged that she feared for her life.

CNN reports:

Earlier Wednesday, California’s other Democratic senator, Barbara Boxer, said Sanders supporters should attempt “to change the primary process, but not to go out there and throw chairs and to put people’s lives in danger because the democratic process as put forward and ratified by the two parties is being carried out.”laugh

Actually I'd call myself a brilliant write and a rather prolific blogger. =)

And dealing with the political morass as I have for the past 30 years, including four presidential campaigns, two mayoral campaigns, and personal friends with congressmen and state senators gives me quite a bit of knowledge to know what I'm talking about. =)

What have you got? *smug grin*
