and found I have had at least two spirits in my house ...
I always have believed in spirits ... being that's what I feel we are ... and I have felt pretty comfortable here ... but once I smelled
a cigar ... I did not see smoke but the smell was overwhelming for a while ... later did not think about it ... and I have never tried to conjure up any spirits ... now I went to bed early was not feeling to well ... but the outside dog started barking... which she will tell you a storm is coming ... or something is around sometimes or just barking at other dogs ...she may hear in the neighborhood...
but when i got up to go see what was happening ... I was coming out of my bed rm ... and it was like I hit someones shoulders... now my bed rm is very very dark ... for my own reasons.. I do this ... and will say I have missed the door sometimes and hit it ... but not tonight clear way... but just before seemed I ran into something ... now do you think I should try and find out ... what this or these spirits want ... did not smell the cigar this time... and have never felt this before ... not sure I should disrupt them ... but do find this interesting ... and I certainly do not want any ghost hunters in my house ... I also feel they are not going to hurt me ...

things like that can happen. i smell me deceased grandmothers perfume once in a while. usally ghosts wont harm you. ive seen a apperation one night and will never forget it. weird things can happen. ive always believed in paranormal all my life. you can check out the history of the house and see what happened there but dont disturb the ghost. thats what i would do.

as far as I know this house has only 3 owners including me ...
the first people heard... really nice believe the husband built on more to the kitchen for her and she liked to cook ... not sure if either past away in here ... the other younger couple had a bad divorce a couple of kids ... but not one of them died here ... they just left ...

and just remembered my uncle use to smoke cigars before he passed ... why he would visit have no idea ... but we had not issues with one another ...

but you can be sure... I am not conjuring up anyone here ...

The cigar could very well be your uncle. You can ask him to not visit at night nor in your bedroom.
I do the same with my dad. In my bedroom I want to be alone. Me myself and I, no one else, not even a deceased one I love.
If you feel they're not bad, you can ask them to leave. Spirits aren't supposed to be there anymore, they should move on to the light. Sometimes they don't realize that, don't even realize they've passed over. So you can tell them that, lovingly but adamantly, and ask them to go away. It's your home, they have no right to be there, simple as that.
It's not right for them to disturb YOU, esp not in your sleep/bedroom.

Spirits from previous owners etc are not necessarily related to the current building only. There could've been another building before this one, and the spirits 'belonged' to that place. It's not like if a building gets torn down, the spirits will go with it...
Also, ground, soil, holds history. That's why certain places can be haunted, even if there isn't a building. Events from the past can still linger there and cause spirits, apparitions, nasty things etc.
This goes for i.e. ancient / old battle fields, places where ppl used to be hanged, tried, beheaded, but also where an old prison used to be and so on and so forth. Not just really bad stuff, ie. an orphanage where lots of kids were heartbroken, lonely etc. can also cause this to happen.

I've once lived in a house just some 4 years old, and when they were building that block of houses, they'd discovered there was an ancient, pre-Christian burial ground there. They did excavations and stuff, then continued building.
That particular house had ghosts. And not pleasant either. My kids noticed them before I did. So the house was new, but it's in the soil. Basically that entire area should've been cleansed, but that takes an awful lot of work, and logical thinking society wouldn't even think of doing that ...
They look for bones, artifacts etc, don't pay heed to the energetic remains that will disturb and harass new inhabitants of the area.

Anyway, you can simply ask them to leave your house, as it's YOUR house. They got family and loved ones waiting for them on the other side, they will just have to go there. That way their souls can move on too. As long as they linger here, they can't. They just don't realize that themselves.
Your uncle is okay, just ask him to visit during the day, not at night, and not in your bedroom.
