Maan! so far this year:

Changed a double bed for a Queen sized one.

Changed from regular beer to Dark beer only....Ricard's Red...my fav...

Dated two new women...from this site....a month apart, early in the year...

And finally took a good friend out Friday night...we were friends over the last year....yeah! its hard to get out off the friend's zone...ha ha...we still friends though.......

Thats all I got....no more plans in my mind....unless, I can plan a get together of a few Minglers at a suitable location...this summer...its a goal....dont laugh you!!!!

This is impressive D-ONE!

So far you get the prize for the plunderer of new territory

Was the upgrade in your bedsize to accomodate the upgrade in your love life? bigsmile

And whats the difference between the dark beer and regular beer taste-wise?

And I agree with you about the transition out of the friend zone, That ish is tough!

The mingles meet and greet is a great idea.

No one will be laughing at you for that bigsmile

Played laser tag for the first time Friday night. That was pretty awesome!

Had my eyebrows threaded... OUCH! But worth it!

Laser talk soinds like fun!

But what does it mean to thread one's eyebrows?what

They shape your eyebrows using thread. Better than waxing.... Hurt like hell but it was so worth it. I was one hair away from a uni-brow!

Ok. Thanks for explaining it to me . I'm gonna google it further:smile:

There seems to be a strong link between beauty and pain , isnt there?

Grrrrrrr....grumble

Hope you try the laser tag again , It sounds like fun!happy

If that wasabi gets caught between your naughty bits, things could go south really fast ,

And not in the good way either...laugh

The prize for the plunderer of new things has been revoked from a Divorced one, and awarded to Kathyzee!!!

I've tried yoga, but never hot yoga or the other things you tried this year.

The zumba is fantastic! Highly recommended. I tried it last year happy

As for your wasabi fantasy , why don't you give Maxterx a call?

You guys seem to be thinking along the same loins... cough... I mean LINES bigsmile

Hi Peggy flowerforyou

A couple of weeks ago, I ran out of creamer so I had my coffee black with a touch of honey, I loved it.

This year, I opened a new blogsite and, among other things, I write poetry.. and some people like them.. some are even real poets. Who knew?

Because of my Neighborhood Photography thread here on M2, I now have a photo blogsite and instead of my all time favorite flowers to shoot and show, I am learning to do artsy photography.. e.g. a photo of a rusty nail, and name it "Tetanus"

I've also started a new hobby, digital art. I post them in my blogs and my followers seem to like them. lol

Cheers, Peggy drinker

Hey Rosiewaving

So you and kathy will have to fight over this award. Very stiff competition indeed

Never tried coffee with honey.

Scoobert suggested mixing my coffy with baileys instead of creamer,

I will be trying that for sure !

I've seen your photography and Bahiteva's too. Very impressive!

How amazing that you are launching out further with poetry and digital art.

The newness keeps the bounce in our step, doesn't it?

Cheers Rosie and good luck in your new ventures!drinker

Well!! recently I've switched from Kleenex to paper towel...
Ummm.. not a big fan of change I'm switching back..lol

YOu really are a mass polluter, all those bleached Kleenex tissues ...
Best get recycled paper. Okay, not so soft, but that might add to the sensation and at least is a bit more environmentally friendly waving

Good question, cos if you do what you did, you get what you got.

- Well, so far this year I went way out of my comfort zone when I had to travel to the USA on my own.

- What I'd like to do different, is to go out more.
- Date more often too.

Hey Crystal waving

Between your writing , and singing, and painting, (which is fabulous) it would be inspirational to see how you would fit more into your schedule.winking

I travelled on my own for the first time last year myself. The trip was spectacular , as you yourself experienced in your own journey.

And ah yes, the dating thing, I suspect we would all like to do more of that

I know you said in another post that it's healthy to keep dating just to keep that skill active, but how do you get the patience to date people that you are not excited about?

In the nearest future, I want to quit my job. Had been a workaholic.
I want to bring my parent travelling around Malaysia and Indonesia especially.
My mum had just recently recovered from cancer. Sometimes, I feel, she felt that the time is too short for her. Most of the times, She will said, Lets go to this place..this place...etc..etc.
I want them to enjoy life. I want to spend every precious moment with them.
I love them. I am scared of losing them.

I'm disappointed.
When I read the title of this thread, I expected John Cleese to show up.

Humm this year have not really tried a lot of new things...

I have tried a few new places to eat and found out they were good enough to go back too..drool

I eliminated a couple people from my life due to too much drama..slaphead

I actually went out on a limb and meet someone to go play pool with, meeting for the first.. And actually had fun.....

In the last few years I have went parasailing in Keywest. Few years prior went scuba diving... And of course went on a few cruises since 2009....

This year we have a cruise set for Dec around 22 so far are going...Hopefully while in Belize I can get some of the others to do the Cave Tubing~~~whoa

I so want to do the Hot air balloon ride myself... Have been to the Plano Balloon Festival but need to find out on the balloon rides...

Other then that just working on my house redoing each room~~~ painting and changing furniture ect...

Oh yes, the singing! This year is going to be the 7th gig, but each and every year I have the jitters. Serious jitters! It takes all my energy work skills to get/keep me calm enough in order to pull it off. I think I'm too much of a perfectionist, so I put too much pressure on myself. When I do it, I want to do it right.
And not just the singing, but the presenting of the gig too. That means more to me even than singing! I  presenting! Had I known that when I was younger ... I would've made it my profession, or at the very least had tried to.
So yes, the gig (April 27th) is going out of my comfort zone, way out of it, lol. As I only do it once a yr, I never get used to it, lol.

The dating thing ... you wouldn't want to date guys that don't really interest you. Meaning you have to go out a lot (not pubs, places) where you get seen and can meet other ppl. Preferably places that interest you, so you meet ppl with similar interests, so you have something in common. Like if you're not into snobby stuff and art, you shouldn't go to an art gallery to meet a bloke.
So it means going places, quite a lot. Group things can also be good as you often meet new people via (vague) friends. Most ppl meet their partner via friends or family. (I asked that once here and elsewhere on the net)
Mixed group would be best, not just gal pals, cos that's often too intimidating to men. The risk of being rejected in front of a group of females is not enticing, so a guy won't so easily approach you.

I know all that, but I have a lot of "yeah buts" ohwell I don't have a large social circle and most of them are in a relationship meaning they don't go out much. They're part of a happy couple and do couple-things or spend evenings at home together.
I have very little money, so going places isn't easy. Always costs something, bit of petrol, parking, a cup of coffee ...
I live in a remote area ... I usually don't like men from this area plus they tend to be short ohwell
I got an old car, daren't drive long distances with it anymore etc etc etc.

But still ... if I want to find a bloke, I will have to do something or it ain't gonna happen. So in that sense, I will have to kick myself out of the house more often, one way or another, and get out of the 'yeah but' rut

That singing thing sounds sooooo exciting to me!

Do you know just the thought of it makes me nervous , and i am not even the one performing! laugh

But you have a great charisma about you crystal , which i imagine would translate into an electric stage presence. Good luck on the 27th ! The mingle community will be rooting for you!!! biggrin

Presentation gigs always make me nervous as well so I avoid them if i can, but I admire the people like you who feel at home on a stage :)

And the dating....

Grrrrr...

Coming from a small country, i always had these illusions that people in larger countries find it a breeze to meet new people, but what you described about the accessibility issue seems to be echoed by many in this chat site

People just seem to be far away from dating prospects one way or the other which is surprising to me!

Even when I go out socially, most of the people i meet are already in relationships.

And the people from my country on mingle have had the most sparse and uninspiring profiles and pics. indifferent

I am beginning to think that long distance , and interracial or inter-cultural dating will grow exponentially as a trend in the next decade or so for the people who are detrmined to find love.

I relate to what you said with regard to dating challenges.

The struggle is reeeeaaaaaal! laugh
