i really hate essay writing.. so, heres a quick question -
the 'roaring twenties' what can people tell me about things like.. womens rights, and prohibition - bootlegging, rum running, and the winnipeg general strike, in canada. if you can't it's alright, i'm just like, killing myself over this, i've never hated school until this stupid ****ing teacher started ruining my life. |

Look up the history of the Kennedy's father... there's ample to tell about his escapades in running illegal whisky during prohibition.
made him a rich man... especially because it wasn't taxed ooooooo... i'm in trouble now!!! you could even sedgeway into what the hell he was doing in England after he sold all his stocks just before the crash in 29 ... you could even talk about his public support of Hitler while in England and how he ran back here with his tail between his legs when Hitler proved to Europe that he was taking all the booty he could get his hands on... But, you might get an F.. if you don't cite credible resources...in which case you ma still get an F and audited, and followed, and your phone tapped, and your house bugged, and your car wired... |

The twenties were generally a time of great optimism and forward thinking.
This optimism was, at least in the US, directly a result of economic prosperity, which itself gave way to the Great Depression. The best thing about the Depression? Robert Johnson came into his own, thus bringing about a whole era of blues guitar playing. Fast forward forty-five years or so, and Duane Allman plays the most magical and divine guitar the world has ever heard. So my point is this: The roaring twenties were instrumental in bringing about the greatest music ever to exist. I suggest you make this the thesis of your essay. What's also worth noting is that in Britain, Aldous Huxley was beginning his career as the most important humanist of the twentieth century. |

Also, I just realized that the only reason I'm here at all right now is because I'm procrastinating from doing my own history essay.
So in some cosmic sense, I think, we're all connected by the whims of history (or history professors). |
