My problem is that most people think I am about 27 in real life......and treat me like I was younger.

your welcome, being taken seriously has nothing to do with your age. I'm 44 and nobody takes me seriously
 I think that, unfortunately, it's all about chemistry and location. And lots of people do hide behind their computer and are afraid to take it another step. |

i'm not talking about that really... just in life. being 20 is like being in a black hole, socially. society can't decide whether i'm an asset or a risk and its kind of frustrating. i'll probably never grow up, and i would hate to, but i feel like i'm being pushed to turn into a robot.

Yeah I know what you mean. You're not old enough to do lots of things, they charge you too much for car isurance, and you're still trying to figure out which way you wanna go. Just say how you feel and don't let people push you around, because, after all, you are over 18 now.

Oh honey, ur preachin to the choir. I'm only 23, happy with my age, but would LOVE to be taken more seriously. Seems ppl don't take a woman seriously unless she's married, has kids, has some really amazing professional job, and is over 25. Men seem to be taken more seriously younger, regardless of their relationship or job status.
