What is a age? What is age when all around you life seems not too be taken seriously, or too seriously is it in a age? An age is just a number with no meaning, so it was all thought. Could the age be like an alegebra problem, and the age attached to a number be the problem? Is an age not but a number, but our maturarity make us what we are? Is not how mature on is that determines wether one is young, or old? I may be getting an number which makes me my age, but I feel I'm getting wiser which makes me feel older.

I like being young because I can say that my older friends were a bad influence and I did not know any better and make everyone laugh because I do know better. ^_^. Oh the fun times that can be had.

You pretty much have to kill urself to look like you have the dream life to be taken seriously. I refuse to ever do that. I work to live and have fun, I don't live to work. I don't really even care if society takes me seriously, I just wish my family would. Try being 23 and still being the overly protected baby of the family... FROM EVERY SINGLE MEMBER! Now THAT gets old. I love my family, but dang. Everyone from my grandparents to my cousins who are older all do that to me. Whats funny, is I'm not the youngest...lol, my sisters don't get treated that way... 1 is a nurse and one is a mother... so they get taken seriously. I take care of other people's kids, ei: nieces and nephews while my family members work and the city pays me for it. I don't get taken seriously b/c I don't have some rediculously extravagant 9-5. Kinda funny how you can take on their responsibilities and they still don't take u seriously...

In response to the title post, being young is indeed MORE than it's cracked up to be.

Or at least so I'm told in my weekly conversations with Zeus and Freyja.

Of the course the conversation with the latter only lasts a few minutes before a wild orgie ensues with anthropomorphized valkyries joining in after a short time.

Shoot, I think being young gets better each day I grow a day older from the stories I hear from these youngsters.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But it does not get an easier the older we get. Being old and wiser sometimes cuts into the fun. You just can't do stupid things like you did when you were younger.

Or I hear when you get really old you just say I'm old enough to know better, but too old to give a sh*t.

Age! As long as you feel young at heart there is no age. Life is to be lived. Head out and do your thing.

I'm 56 so I go and live at the old folks home with the 80 and 90 year old. It makes me feel young. I put Ex-lax in their oatmeal. I am such a spunky little wipper snapper. bigsmile

I have to agree with the whole not taken seriously thing, i'm 19 and try my best to be really professional(i even take out my piercings) when i go to interviews or have to do presentations with my class but it just seems that alot of people don't want the chore of working with someone so young. Oh well though hopefully it will all work out in the end.

Hmm, I'm 35 and still feel like a kid sometimes. Taking things too seriously not only makes you feel older, it's boring as hell.

Just because your body is old doesnt mean your mind is.]
Unlike the body you can keep your mind sharp, unless you get an age-related mental illness.

lol being older and wiser doesn't cut into my fun just means I'm wiser now too realize what it means too actually have fun, and enjoy myself now instead of sitting around and become older lol.
