I enjoyed raw tonight. Stone cold was hilarious and the D-X match was great. Survivor series is shaping up well as always but that Khali/Hornswoggle match just makes me wonder why Khali went from main eventing to squashing a midget. I guess they finally realized he sucks. I think edge is returning at SVS hence the poster. I really hope so because edge rules.

If the Save Us is not Jericho, then I will be pissed. As for Edge coming back, yeah, it would be nice to see him.
SCSA is the freaking man! I loved that look he gave Maria before spraying her down with the beer hose. That was just another classic brought to you by SCSA. |

I finally got to watch RAW from start to finish last night. First time in a while.
My thoughts: Why did they have these matches: Beth Phoenix vs Kelly Kelly Gene Snitsky vs Jobber Super Crazy/Jim Duggan vs Shelton Benjamin/Charlie Hass Total time for all three matches COMBINED was less than 3 minutes, not counting ring entrances/introductions. WAY too much DX. They're beyond stale-out of the ring. Wrestling-wise, HHH and Michaels can still go in the ring. Santino Marella is comic gold. It would be easy for a young guy to be intimidated doing a segment with Austin(one of the greats on the mike), but Marella did well. His selling of the beer bath brought back memories of Bobby Heenan. The tribute to Lillian Ellison, The Fabulous Moolah, was one of the classiest things I've seen the WWE do in ages. Jeff Hardy/Rey Mysterio vs Mister Kennedy...Kennedy ![]() Lone negative: PLEASE keep that fat oily guy off my TV screen! I was eating when he came on! Talk about an appetite destroyer! Future hope: That RAW(and Smackdown and ECW)can continue to present overall good shows like this one, and they work on character development for EVERYBODY on the roster. They hit gold with Santino Marella, Trevor Murdoch, and Carlito. Now, elevate more people, and I'll be happy(er). OVERALL RATING: ****(out of five) |

ya raw was a pretty good show but that is part of the problem they put on awesome shows for raw and then ecw and smackdown suffer most of the time

wrestling these are not the same nomore

I agree, Sooner. Tho RAW, SMACKDOWN, and ECW can put on the occasional good show, they really are few and far between.
Unfortunatly, Vince & co. are satisfied with the ratings they're getting now, so they see no need to change anything. And they won't change, unless ratings drop to the level that USA Network and the CW demand changes. And everytime Vince has faced a "need to change", it's always the in-ring wrestling that suffers. |
|
|
|
usa has demanded changes and vince doesnt care because he still makes money people still come to shows even if ratings suck and they still sell out ppv's and shows vince will be happy becasue he is still gettin money so if we want things to change people have to stop going to shows and that wont happen

Themobscene:
When did USA Network demand changes? Not that I'm doubting you, but I'm just curious. Even with RAW ratings as they are right now, they help USA to be the #1 cable network. Can't imagine them complaining about THAT. Maybe you're referring to USA wanting content change because they consider a storyline to be offensive. That's different than complaining about ratings being down, ratings which, 95% of the time, stay right around the same level. About Vince: Yes, as a viewer, I'd LOVE to see some changes. I've discussed my ideas in several forums on JSH. But you hit the nail on the head concerning the bottom line: ================================================================ usa has demanded changes and vince doesnt care because he still makes money people still come to shows even if ratings suck and they still sell out ppv's and shows vince will be happy becasue he is still gettin money so if we want things to change people have to stop going to shows and that wont happen ================================================================ As long as WWE is a money making corporation, not only will WWE NOT change, but there's no reason why they SHOULD change. And THAT'S the TRUE bottom line, because economics says so. (Catchphrase with apologies to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ![]() |

The problem with ECW is Chris Benoit. After he did all that stuff ECW lost it's one established star and now has a bunch of Mid carders running it. Not that it's bad I like BDV, John Morrison, Cm punk and Elijah Burke. They also shouldn't have released Marcus Cor Von.

![]() WWE didn't release Marcus CorVon. Marcus asked for--and was granted--his release. He had a family situation where he's become the guardian for some of his nieces and nephews. He simply couldn't be on the road too much. Don't feel too bad for Mar...Monty Brown, however. He makes a six-figure income as a personal trainer. I still miss hearing POUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCE....................... ................................................................ ..................................................PERIOD!!!!!!!! |

Oh damn still that sucks. I don't feel bad for him he's probably richer then I'll ever be haha. I just thought he added a lot to ecw and was one of their few good guys.

WWE is at the up and down side right now I miss the old school days :(

i think it was a few months back raw's ratings were going down and the usa network said that they want something better out of vince that they bascially want the attititude \era and thats when the save us promo's began to air

Sounds good to me, TheMobScene
![]() I just hope they're paying Jericho lots of money to lie in the ring and count ceiling lights for Triple H and Shawn Michaels. |

i just hope it really is jericho and i was just thinking a few mintues ago i know it will never happen in a million years becasue he is happy making movies but i was thinkin how crazy everyone would go arenas tv fans if all the sudden you heard IF YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN but not goin to happen and i know why the jericho thing is takin so long cause the internet

I'd like to see the Rock AND Jericho--and Rob Van Dam back. But Rock's said over and over that the's through with pro wrestling. And with the success of his movie career, I guess I can't blame him.

I'm more excited to see the young fresh talent getting their shot, nothing against the legends of old, but they are never going to get any better with time, only worse. I like seeing the rising young stars improve in their craft.

Look Undertaker deserves to in the main event more so then some of the young Bucks Hes paid his dues longer then anyone beside Rick Flair. WWE died along time ago, but its got loyal fans so it keeps going strong no matter what. Myself i have been and always will be a Hulk Hogan fan... No matter what.
