Funny how a post like this almost made me leave this site when I first joined..

Then I realized that some arrogant uptight not worth my time kind of guy was not going to get to me..

I'm a full figured woman, sure might not be your cup of tea.. But there is no reason to insult others due to their weight or looks..

When my kids were growing up I use to tell them all the time that a person may be beautiful on the outside but within they could be medusa.

It is sad that one that can write such beautiful words but yet the words within lash out like a knife~~~

I have no issue with someone knowing what appeals to them

some are attracted to say ...short, petite women

some like blonds, blue eyes..whatever floats your boat man


everyone may have preferences and to each his own

I'm about as honest as a person can be, you ask me I'm not going to lie to you.. I'm very up front and voice my opinion...

But there is a way to be honest and not insult someone just cause they do not meet ones preference..

We all have certain things that appeal to us and there is nothing wrong with that.. It is when someone comes right out with bashing/insulting another for no reason..

I may be full figured and have been turned down due to they were looking for someone slimmer, that is fine and I do understand.. Cause I have my preference as well.. Just cause I'm a bigger woman does not mean I'm desperate and can't find a man..

So it is not considered jumping down ones throat for being honest it is due to being out right rude/insulting..

Honestly with the Poetry he writes guess I was disappointed with his choice of words here...

And apart from that , ( and I have raised this before in an unrelated thread)... The people who are brutally honest tend to be very selective about their targets. Often they do not focus their brutal honesty on themselves and they do not receive brutal honesty very well either. I have seen that time and time again...

Honestly who would look for an un attractive partner? Whether it be fat skinny stupid smart goofy etc etc. I must say there does seem to be a lot of ahem larger women on dating sites. Just sayin

The man who bashed his wife's face in may also say he was merely being honest ...
Calling out in the street: "Hey, fat blob, move over!" is honest too. But not the right thing. Besides, you may get a very honest reaction back and get your lights punched out.

Being honest is not an excuse to hurt, knock, belittle other people.

metabolism's slow as we age and we lose muscle mass

have noticed that men tend to fall into two categories as they age:

weak, short, shriveled with caved in chest and a weak chin
or the ones with the big ole beer belly


in fact, it is almost like ya cannot find a decent looking man over the age of 40 and if you are single and want to date someone

and most are bald


you got two options

hold out for Mr. Right
or latch onto Mr. Right now


as long as ya can stand to look at him

There's also an incredible amount of ungroomed and/or unbelievably ugly and/or totally miserable looking men on dating sites.

The ones that do look happy, groomed, attractive and good-looking, are usually married.

It all comes down to 'shopping around' till you find someone you resonate with.
A dating site doesn't mean there's only ppl on there that you find attractive.

Just going by the original post, how do you know that the majority of women on here are fat? What is your criteria for that-10 pounds overweight? Anyway, aren't "fat women" (as you call them) allowed to date? Also, how do you know that most of the pictures on here are fake?
