I was in love only once in my life. It was for the best that we parted. I will always be so grateful to him. I lvoe him to this day. There is a saying.... I would rather have a few minutes of "wonderful" than a whole lifetime of "nothing special". If I leave this world.... I will leave it feeling that sunlight.

He is married now and we can't "just " be friends. Sometimes your will and what is right also has to be stronger than your own heart. God rewards that. I love him so much that I want him to have a happy marriage, to be a present a wonderful father. That means no "me " and no distraction. I would have no honor in me at all if I continued the friendship. I have always prayed for him way more than I could ever pray for myself. I will cherish what he gave me forever... that is enough for me.

God willing I can find something like that again.

Reading Bridges Over Madison County was really difficult after we parted.... but we parted loving each other and as friends.

There is always beauty in real love.... even if it is lost.

I have a friend that Ive known for abot 10 years and we dated alittle but then I stopped dating him and started dating a guy and got serious with, he is now my ex. I should of never stopped dating my friend because I really think it would of turned into something more and he treated me so good.

Occasionally I look back and think what if, what if my ex was the "one" and I didn't work hard enough to keep in tact. But then I rethink things, there was something that was wrong with the relationship otherwise I would of never left and he would of never let me leave. I just focus on the future......

yeah the one did slip through my fingers, and i have regretted it ever since..i still think about him all the time, just wish i could get in touch with him

Has anyone every thought that what we thought was perfect actually had its flaws as well. Seems as if it really was all that perfect then why did it not happen. I thought at one time I had found the perfect one too but guess it was not meant too be. It seems that each relationship that one has is just a mere stepping stone to the the one you should be with and if your lucky enough that you get a second chance for them to come back within your path then it was ment to be. But then if you have those what if's you will never know unless you make that move and find out. Its better to kmow then always wondering what if.
