By The Way... for those of you who have "something" to say, These men are doing what alot of wouldn't do. Whether we think it is "right or wrong" makes no difference. they are going out there and putting thier lives on the line for us here at home. so that we have all of the freedoms that we take for granted. For basic i will be in Missouri and thats for 13 weeks and then for AIT I will be in San Antonio for 16 weeks and after that i have no idea

It actually makes me happy that people like you have enough liberty to say such things and decide to not have to be beholden to a fascist/religious/monarchy/cult/government.

I'm glad that for the sake of fellow volunteers that people like you DON'T have to end up in the military beside me where I would rather have someone that believes in something greater than themselves... we are both happy with the situation right? It's a great country like that.

Unlike the rest of the world's governments that require mandatory government service of their citizens. And yes, that includes the most liberal bastions of the Western world: European countries. They all have some form of mandatory government service or just straight up conscription by force.
