if you read the theories i'm just a pawn in them therefore am not alowed to know. i just can't figure out how you can plot to take over the world if everyone within the organization thats suppose to do it doesn't know about it.

Don, forgive for this as we all know different cultures and all..but....shriners are so cool.....you mean you have one of those little cars and wear a fez?

i don't have a little car, but i do were a fez. this spring i'm buying a harley davidson and will ride that in parades.

What is it with those little cars, does it stand for something. Why do shriners have them. If they're enything to do with taking over the world are they starting out small.

Medic, you have to do a search for pics of the shriners. They are so cool. While you are it do a search on The Ba' in Orkney.Its s tradition in one of our northern islands every christmas crimbo) and new year where two teams of the north and south of the town take on each other to take the ball from the town centre and either throw the ball in the harbour or dunt it against the oldest wall.

if people in general understood that you have to fight for what you want and that nothing comes free it would be a better place.
if you want a better place to live you don't just get it, you work for it.
here if you want to be able to say what you want someone has to protect that right.
since the civil war we have never had to fight a war on our own land, we take it to them and then help them rebuild what we destroyed. I alwayes want to fight there and not here.

OIU< the cars are for parades. they don't mean anything. the shriners are a fun organization with an important mission, the hospitals and the parades and the circus we hold each year are a way of keeping our organization in front of a large number of people so they remember us.
it works, you know about the cars and there fore us. its a sales tactic i guess you'd say.
the hospitals are run on the money we raise. there is no government support and we don't accept insurance if the families have it.

I never knew what the proceeds went to. Now i can have a chuckle at the next parade with a Get in there of support. You're obviously well happy and proud of it all and that is a good thing.

same here....the next parade i go to i will be cheering for the shriners

yea well, its like anything else. its what you make it. for me these organizations are were i found the comradery i left behind when i retired. everyone is there for everyone else.

Aye to that. In fact i think they should open gthemselves out by using that for the next parade.....Don, can you arrange t shirts with Shriners are the sh** on it to hand out to some of gthe younger fans????

well i wouldn't phrase it like that...put something like...'Shriners are Amazing' or I support the Shriners and what they stand for'

now in scotland i'm not sure what the shriners do. i never looked into it. it may be the same thine, but it could be a nother charity. thru the masons we run a dyslexia program for children which specializes in math and reading. again we raise the funds, hire certified teachers in those subjects and administer that program.
theres lots of things out there that different places do.

we do get in enough trouble by ourselves. i think the shirts wouldn't help.

think we need to get back on subject. think we ran some folks off with all the masonry/shriner chat.

was just a though Don. cm put it so brilliantly and although its probbly totally against the shrining ethos it would be so cool if it just happened.

glad u saw the funny side of that...but hey

cm there could be a market in there if you believe it wouldnt offend anyone and it could open up and bring a lot more support to the cause...surely a group of 20 wearing some tasteful tees could get on the news and give pause for thought and donations
