It does happen to some, such as getting a friend or relative into the country. More often then we would expect:cry:

In the days before i was a thought in my parents mind. It was expected to be married before action . Now anything goes for whatever you want to do. Welcome to morals no more media, influenced. Everyone is afraid to offend may be a law suit, public lashing, etc......rock it I still want a sample before overtime hours

Absolutely!
I never would marry a man if I didn't know what I was going to get. What if you don't match between the sheets?
Sex is vital in a healthy relationship.

I agree with Cat and Tom

While I think it depends how important sex is to you, I would never Marry without knowing the Lady for quite a while.

If in that quite a while there was no bump and grind I'd think it would be a bit strange.

Yeah, cos a lot of marriages have broken up where both were not sexually compatible. She needs him to last long in bed while he is a 3 mins guy or He got a small dick while she prefers it bigger and they got married without the truth, the marriage isn't gona last.

Actually yes I would want to know what I was getting.
I test drive a car before I buy it and I trade that in....marriage is for life so he11 yes I am test driving it! And if I can't get it souped up might be time to trade that model in.

Well Sweetie,
Now that you've rotated my tires, and changed my oil...
What's the verdict???happy

Well I was told I had 20K miles before I made up my mind... snicker ...

People from that generation often stay(ed) in marriage by default as they didn't/don't think it's right to get a divorce. Not even when things are bad.

Apart from that, people from that generation had totally different views and beliefs and expectations from a relationship, not necessarily better. Just different, congruent with those days.
Also, in the 'old' days it was also perfectly okay for a woman to not get pleasure from sexual activity. It was done in the dark under the blankets so to speak (and often prolly even literally).
These days that's not acceptable anymore in Western countries, not by most anyways.

So to admire it ... sure, in a way .. but ... only if you put it in perspective, not in comparison to how things are now. That just doesn't make sense.

I am only assuming, that any questions asked on this open forum, will be answered, by giving your opinion. Yes or No, in this case Maybe, are perfectly acceptable answers. No need for in-depth analysis unless you want to put your post-grad studies in physcology to good use...all I am saying...

hahahaha....ooooooh it's like ya know me grumble

for some couples where one or both are from fairly religious families
waiting until after marriage may be the 'norm'

for some...they might have waited on their first marriage
but feel it is no longer necessary on the second or subsequent marriages

for many..they wait until they are in a committed relationship ..

and for some..they hop into bed anytime they are given the thumbs up sign
