Do you have one of these in your neighborhood?.. you know! the neighbor that doesn't shovel the snow off his or her sidewalks. On a timely or regular basis or cut their grass..
They park in your parking spot.. causing you to leave a note on their windshield.. even though you know they know there parking in your spot.. grr
They don't keep their yard work up..
They play their music way too loud and way too late.. they irritate the neighbors around them.. bringing down the whole neighborhood.. do you have one of these in your neighborhood..
Or perhaps you are one of those..lol.
I..
Have one of those in my neighborhood right now..grrrr...
Taking up 3 parking spots .. and one of them is mine ... I tried to be the better neighbor. I don't like leaving notes on windshields..lol..wink.so. I confront them..ie.. hi neighbor like to talk to you about the parking situation..
You tend to keep parking in my spot..
I would appreciate it if you would not !!...let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.... they just give you that cold stone f you look....
me ohhhh..ok.. time to start leaving notes on the windshield..lol.. I would rather just break an arm or leg . Of my uncooperative neighbor.l.ol..but that just causes more problems.. lol..so how do you confront a unneighborly neighbor..hmm..

Yes I do, the one house that just could careless. They park their four wheel drive trucks on their lawns and leave huge ruts, their bushes and yard looks like a camping cottage, thankfully we have a HOA so it is their cross to bare to deal with them.I understand the breaking a arm or leg part because our troubled neighbor has a sense of fear when knowing who he can and not play games with.I find just a hard stare works for me.

Yup.. sometimes you just wish you could slap the snot out of some neighbors...lol.. but as the police officer told me in my last neighborhood.. you just can't slap the snot out of them... because they pissed you off.....awwww.. take all the fun out of it why don't you

Here is Saturday nights from across the street
as they walk down the stairs to their car:

Her: Fluck you!
Him: Fluck you!
Her: Fluck you, fluck you!
Him: Fluck you twice!
Her: Fluck your mother!
Him: Fluck your father!
Her: Fluck you!
Him: Fluck you!

Thankfully they are usually in the car by then.

We refer to them as the Flucks :-)

I think of it as a 'persuader'..to compel them to go elsewhere.
Unlike you, howsomever, I never wish to kill.

Yes, they live right next door. Trash blows in my yard. Egg my house. Dog carps in my yard and the kids cover my car with dish soap. Threw rocks at my picture window. Called police and talked to my ward councilman. Nada. Talked to the mailman and he told me he has to kick rats off their porch. The mailman turned them for safety issues and for a while the yard was clean. I love my mailman.

I had a neighbor that for 18 years had more weeds then grass, the siding on the side of the house was hanging and would flap in the wind, shutters hanging off etc. Constant fights between the mom and dad that would carry out into the yard. For numerous reasons they would cause my yard along the fence line to flood and burned garbage in their backyard. They eventually foreclosed on the house. My neighbors now are awesome. I have a driveway and garage so never had parking issues.

When I first bought my house the house next door was empty and trashed. The yard was way over grown windows not boarded ect.. Walked over there and there was a ant mound almost to my knees. Have never seen one that big.. The house was falling apart. Windows busted out front door swinging open..

Next thing I knew the Fire Department was using it for some of their training. Ended up going to one of the meetings at City Hall to complain. Mayor tried to tell me they did not know how to get in touch with the ones that owned the property..

I ask then if you don't know who owns it why is the Fire Department trespassing and using the property.. Seems I put her in her place for I had checked prior. And where I live if a house is vacant and trashed for more then 2 years the city has to either make the homeowners clean it up or the city must tear it down and then they can put a lien on the property for the cost to tear the abandon house down..

Ended up they had to tear it down for I went back about a month later after they gave the homeowners the chance to clean it up and board it up which they cleaned some then quit again. So back I went to city hall.. Come to find out even the City's Lawyer told them they better do something with it after he found out how long the house had been like that for I had a case against them if I wanted to fight them.

And.. the problem with bad neighbors is.. they are just bad neighbors..lol..
Blissfully unaware of everyone around them... they make noise they litter they burn garbage . They yell and scream.. their children are disrespectful... and here we are the good neighbors.. always trying to reason with them.. always trying to be.ohhhh.. so polite and diplomatic..
You know what I say.. I say screw that..
They act like degenerates.. I treat them like the degenerates.. uncarrying A holes that they are..
Sure sure at first I give them all.. the good neighbourly considerations.. allowed them.. but if they continue being a-holes... the garden gloves come off..lol.. it is annoying though..
They're hard to deal with bad neighbors.. you have to sink to their level... it's very frustrating

We have the 3rd. generation homestead, barn now. 50+ years ago Dad sold a circle of land around us duuu! All 7 of the 8 lots are the same couples. We all have large driveways and the road still overflows into Grand-kids parking lot. Weekends are wild, family visits and holidays are the above posting! But large groups / teams.

haha! Yah! Never mind the open door policy all have (I'm the kid)so that will not change. hahaha!

Time to update your Profile: Must be in law enforcement.* Your problem in that area will disappear quietly and legal. drinker
* Did you know you can hire a police officer, on his own time. Meet him in front of your house. Everyone (criminals) will understand the signal (she has a cop friend)

I am thankful I have a long driveway so and 1.2 acres between neighbors. I have one in the back that when I first moved in He would let his yearling steers come into my back yard.. I had a brand new lawn, when I tried to talk to him he told me he didn't understand english so in my pigeon spanish.

Him.. No understand

Me. Momento please..

Him smiles real big..

Me fixes hand like gun.. Pointed to his cow and went Bang. Rub my gut and said YUM with a big ole smile...

Problem solved.

My other neighbor works on the North Slope so he is on for 6 weeks and off 2 weeks.

On the first night he is back I knock on door around 11:30 remind him he is living next door to someone trying to sleep he turns the music down

The last night he is home we repeat...

Other than that the other neighbors are really quiet we all try to keep our lawns taken care of.

Except the one that has music too loud...

currently we are living in a gated community with a HOA and our DRIVEWAYS are our 'parking spots',,,so there is no way for anyone to be in anyone elses

prior to all that, I grew up in a home with space between homes and a driveway so that noises and parking spaces weren't really an issue

I purposely lived in apartments when possible so I didn't have to worry about stuff like the lawn when I live INSIDE ,,lol

and I don't worry about others lawns either,,,but

in apartments, we have to be more considerate where noise is concerned , and most people are,,,

though I have lived where there are younger people and I pretty much expect them to have things at a louder level during random times during the day,, just being youthful

loud noises at night would be an annoyance I haven't really had much experience with,,

We were the bad neighbor. Typical immigrants... 13 people in a one-bedroom apartment to save money so we can send money to our poor families. Loud Saturday night parties. We didn't steal your parking space because we didn't have cars... but I assure you, we wanted to... steal your cars.

Yea I think most neighborhoods have them. It was more of a shock coming out of a military community where problem people generally get the boot pretty quick. Civilian life has been interesting.

I have a real lulu on my street. A real drag and a test for my patience if there ever was one.
