I am planning a romantic in-my-house date with the new lady in my life but not sure what to order or cook?

Should I order or cook (maid will cook)?
What do you think would be best for my first in-my-house date?

PS. She loves meat

Well that depends on a lot of things.

I would make sure the maid has done a good job on the house and you paid her for a couple days off.

Can you cook? If you can great; cook something you have mastered and don't have anyone around. Flowers would be good. Some nice music or a tasteful movie.

If you can't cook then KEEP IT SIMPLE and get something you can warm in the oven without it becoming tougher than a boot. Prime rib would be good if she likes meat. Or BBQ shortribs in the crock pot. You can easily add steamed veggies and baked potatoes with the standard trimmings. Start with a nice salad and finish with a posh mini desert. Be smart set your table ahead of time to make sure it looks nice and you know what you are going to warm the food in. know where all your serving utensils and hot pads ect. are.

If she does not drink you can still serve a sparkling water in stems for a romantic atmosphere.

If this is REALLY someone significant a pair of photo mugs for after dinner coffee and a small box of chocolates to enjoy would be nice.

Depending where the relationship is I would makes sure if you hope for a sleep over you are prepared.

Perhaps having fresh strawberries, waffles, and real maple syrup and juice tucked in the fridge/freezer.

Rack of lamb

If that doesn't work...break out the bourbon.

Fondue is always a great choice that way she can pick her favorite and prepare it like she wants to.Try a extra pot with cheddar cheese soup and french onion dip,cut up a loaf of french bread for dipping, she will love it.

I don`t know cooking so it is maid or order only. Prime ribs is a good choice but I was thinking bit different like sushi or something. She is from LA and will be spending the weekend at my house. I have a bottle of Sloan red wine in fridge. I also have cream and molted chocolate but strawberries is a good advice. So will this be enough?

Ya can't go wrong with chicken.

Or just a couple of grilled steaks.

Or ask the maid what she thinks would be good.

Cheese on toast....
Made with love....happy
Rather than go overboard with extravagance....
If she can accept the simple, mundane things in life....
You might be on a winner....drinker
