unfortunately I could not find the appropriate topic heading to put this under..so.. this will have to do lol..
I would like to say goodbye to a dear old friend of mine.. who gave up about 2 weeks ago.. sadly!! enough was enough .he did all he could do while he was here on this planet... he was truly a good friend to me.. always there to pick me up always there to give me a ride when I needed one.. sure sure from time to time he would let me down.. expect me to throw gobs of money his way.. but at the end of the day he was a good friend... I would like to say goodbye to my Ford f150 who finally cashed in his chips.lol. are blow a oil pump.. or perhaps a head gasket..
But either way it's off to the junkyard graveyard for him..lol... if anyone else feels the need to say goodbye to their old trusty steel or fiberglass friend now would be the time..lol.. I dedicate this topic page to all those trusty rides that have gone to the junkyard graveyard..

Did you know you could call the kidney foundation and they will pick it up and tow it and give you a tax receipt for about $100.00... at least they used to do that.

Don't laugh I had a Chrysler Volaria wagon I got on my own signature when my son was just a newborn. Drove that thing (200,000+ miles) until the wheels fell off. Was great. Took all my friends shopping, moved people, took road trips, went camping and fishing and slept in the back. Took the kids to the drive in and all their appointments and activities. Hauled all my wheelchair, garden and DIY stuff inside or on top in the luggage rack. Sure the paint faded, dash board dried out and split, carpet even wore holes in it finally; but I could fill it up with gas and buy tires for it and not look like the national debt. They made a bazillion of them wasn't hard to get parts when someone crunched it. And I don't remember having to do anything but replace a starter. Wish they made cars like that now days. Never been in love with a woman but "her".

Good idea. Several charities do that now days. What is nice sometimes they have donated time and parts to wring out a few more miles for some needy family.

Shsh when my ford Ranger died on the freeway rear end went out.. I had it towed to the house ended up getting the car I have now two weeks later...

But the best part is I had a note in my mailbox a week or so later after it was in my backyard someone wanted to buy it sold it for $1,200 and put that towards my new car I got...

Charities are great to give too, but heck you can get more from the junkyard or to part them out... If you want to take the time to mess with it..

I've always wondered what happened to my old 64 Pontiac convertible after my brother blew the motor while I was in service.
Hopefully she's waiting for me up there somewhere.

I'm sorry that your truck died. It must hurt pretty badly. I hope you will be able to get another one just as good as your old one.
