Soooo.. not sure if this is the right place for this but I'm pretty sure it's going to head towards religious beliefs so oh well lol

. When you slip away from your mortal coil... when life has had enough of you..
When life can no longer squeeze one more ounce of hard work from you..
And it is time for it to cash you out..lol... okay when you die....

what's it going to be.. a pine box?
Or a very pretty Art Deco.. . Box with your ashes in it...?
.. I know such an upbeat topic right..lol

When I'm actually dead, I'm not really gonna have the capacity to care, what it's gonna be.

Wakes, funerals, and memorials, are functions for the living.

Personally...with the rising cost of human remains disposal... I told my kids to get rid of anyway to identify me and ditch my sorry carcass in the river...they think I am kidding...flowerforyou

Ashes to ashes for me.
NO embalming, no funeral, no viewing (how barbaric is that?)

Just burn it, bake it, make a cake, I won't care.
Move along, nothing to see here kind of sitch.

Lol at that point....don't think I would care. I don't get spending a lot of money on expensive caskets with satin pillows. Do the dead really care? Lol

Heck...I will supply my own Hefty bags

I know someone who intends to have his ashes shovelled into the firebox of a preserved steam locomotive high in the Welsh hills. Open the throttle and ....WHOOSH.

Not sure if your original meaning of this thread or your point so too speak, sorry if my response is in left field.

But when we "die" in this world, we will go too "hell". For hell is nothing more then the holding place of the dead, and in our language these days we refer too that as the grave. Hell will give up it's dead for judgment -

Revelation 20:13

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works

Hell is only temporary, it is not eternal.

Revelation 20:14

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

It's too bad that the Greek New Testament manuscripts don't actually contain the Norse word Hell. The Greek word actually used in Revelation 20:13-14 is the word Hades, which is the word used in the modern English versions of the Bible.
