there are just as many men on here that dont' reply as women. I emailed a few guys in my area, with no avail. How hard is "sorry, not interested"...? My world will not crumble if you don't like me, I don't even really care all that much, except for the principle of being polite.

Yep! Both sexes are guilty of this. I reply to all e-mails, everyone who takes the initiative to write deserves a response, unless they're obvious fakes or rude, even if we are not mutually interested in one another. Come on folks, we have opposable thumbs and walk upright, we are smart enough to come up with a polite reply.
