Through the Years.

I have watched you grow.
From the little one that
use to bounce on my knee.

The sweet little kisses, and hugs
too. To how your eyes would
light up when I would walk
in the room.

You grew right before my eye's.
From wrestling with you on the
floor. To hearing you say good
bye as you walked out the door.

From holding your hand as we
crossed the street. To you telling
me that I don't have to anymore,
that you are growen.

From your first heartach to
your first date. To when you call
saying I'm going to be late.

Even though it is hard to do.
I know that I must release you.
I will cherish every memory that
we have shared.
To let you know that, I
will always be there.

Mine is turning 18 in a week, and I have a 15 year old. I do miss when they were younger.

They are a blessing when they are a child, a worry when they are teens, and a mystery while they mature to adulthood..... gotta love em!
