When I'm not feeling well,
I prefer absolute solitude.

The weird thing is I don't think that I've ever been really seriously ill when single. (Don't jinx it, Angel, knock on wood!!) Not the kind of ill where you run a fever, can barely move and need to rest/sleep all day long.

When I was living on my own when 21, my first partner moved in, and within a week I got a real bad cold or flu. Running a fever and all. But then I had him to look after me when he got back from work.
But it was odd, as if my body had waited with getting ill until there was someone around to help me out.

i have been ill lately and off work for 3 months, hence why i spent so much time on here!

it does get a bit lonely, especially when you have a lot of free time and not a lot to do with or no one to spend it with.

but i guess you get used to it after so long?

i hoped i could maybe find companionship on here while i was off sick,but sadly, not to be.

oh my am I the only one that likes to be left alone under my blankets to sleep it off?
I don't like anyone fusing over me when all I want is quiet and sleep.

All I do ask is they leave the house clean so when I do get up I don't have to face the mess.

when they are sick it's a different story. I take special care of them and try to make them smile but I will give them their rest time.

Ermm ... from what ppl have posted .. most seem to want to be left alone ...

Sure we like to be left alone.. but before you go can you bring me the throw up bucket.. and some Kleenex.. and I could really use some ginger ale..
oh and another pillow please...
. And if it's not too much trouble another blanket.... and I can't reach the remote control..ok.. and nobody makes chicken noodle soup the way you do don't forget the crackers..

. Oh and one more thing before you leave me alone.. a glass of water and some aspirin.. ok now get out leave me alone... I need to prove to you I'm strong invincible.... I will be ok..lol

Even when I was a small child, I didn't want to be bothered when I was sick. I just wanted to be left alone. I am still that way today. Don't offer me anything, don't talk to me, don't try to pet me!!

Luckily, I am rarely ill.

I wonder how I will be on my deathbed???

.. well did you at least take the two can ride for the price of one coupons off the fridge..hmm... I don't mind flipping the bill.. but bring me back some cotton candy and a candy apple..hmm.no wait a minute forget the candy apple.. there's a little kiosk.. they make and sell the best fudge there ever... can you please pick me up a brick of the white fudge with walnuts.... and the brick of the darker fudge not chocolate !!..just the caramel looking one.. that has almonds in it.. please and thank you..wink... and I hope you took a lot of doggie bags with you for milo... he gets a bit excited when he rides the roller coaster..lol

Milo has his bags which I will tie one to him on the rides.
The boys practice their cute sad looks for free rides.
put your wants on the list and the boys will show may the place.
Don't worry about tea it's in the slow cooker.
now relax he hehe don't worry about a thing. the boys all have the same colour on so I don't loose them. Even Milo is sporting a new look with his flash new sky blue jumper.

When I'm ill, I'm on the settee with a blanket. Even when on my own. Don't want to be upstairs in bed, that makes me feel even worse. When I'm in the living room, I get a sense of normalcy, which helps me.

As a kid ... I wasn't sick that often, my sister was because of her epilepsy. That ate of up a lot of my mom's time, so I missed out on a lot of "mom time" during my childhood because of that. My sister and I didn't get along too well, so that didn't help either.
She always got the perks that came with being sick as a kid. You know, nice soup, sweets, cake and that very expensive peach juice that mom only bought when someone was ill. And she got that a lot. I hardly ever did, cos I wasn't sick that often.
So in a way I was almost happy when I did get ill, cos then I'd get the perks, and more attention from my mom too. And that expensive oh-so delicious juice!

May sound like I was envious, but as a young child you don't really understand, and even if you do understand it's not nice that the family always evolves around a sick sibling. Everything we could or couldn't do as a family, always depended on her.

I've seen that happen more often, ppl having children, one having an ailment, eating up everyone's attention, and the healthy one really suffering because of that. They often get completely neglected. Always P me O when I spot that. Because I know what it's like.

I don't actually feel I need a man to make me feel better, when i get ill. Especially if I get ill with my stomach. That's the worst time for ANYONE to come near me.
