Actually I had a excellent time! and I think you were right when you said he probally didn't reveal his real height because he thought I wouldn't go out with him. We had another date after that before he moved back east.

if he said 5-5 or even 5-6 and he was only 5-4 might not be too bad
however if he said he was 6

I am sorry but I do have a problem with dating shorter men. I can handle someone 5'9 because you can't really notice BUT when you get someone 5'3...forget it!!!

think about it...being dishonest isn't always visable! there are alot of people that date and even marry,and find out years later that they were deceived in some way. i once dated a guy for several months and had no clue he was married,he lied! he finally took me to his home one day and said something very strange to me while entering his home. he said "if a woman happens to come by screaming and hollering and acting crazy just ignore her,it's only my sister" come to find out! he was still married! that was the end of that!PHEW!

Remember ladies, their whole lives men are told that

a lot of the ladies are bad about that also most likely about half lie say they are 5'2 or 3" not bad the they weigh 120 pounds not bad, when you meet her she is 200 pounds +, the same thing, I know not all do it but a lot of them.

I would have to agree with Unsure. I'm 5'7" and I would have had to say something when I opened the door. If someone lies about an inch or two of height, that's one thing; but when you're talking almost a foot, I'd have to say something.

I would wonder why he found it necessary to lie that much about his height. Did he not want anyone to know how short he really was? Did he think that you would not notice? A few inches one way or the other probably would not have mattered but...that much of a difference, what did he think???
