“Lost in the Moment”

I want to know how it feels.
Just to be head over heels.
And feel that very touch.
The one you will miss so much.
In the morning that soft kiss.
That will leave you bliss.
Their scent upon the pillow you hold.
Thoughts of them are uncontrolled.
Waiting for that moment they will be there instead.
Thinking of the words this morning they said.
That made you feel all warm inside.
Knowing soon again you will be side by side.
It’s the little things during the day.
That will send your thoughts their way.
Maybe it will be something they had said.
When you were in there arms all safe in the bed.
Or how it felt as their soft lips touched your skin.
That made the embers once again start to burn within.
Maybe the I Love You note they left behind.
Right were they were sure you would find.
And a smile it would bring to your face.
Holding the note in your hands and this moment you embrace.
Knowing this is how love is supposed to be.
Thinking thoughts of love and the moment you get to see.
Them, as they walk towards you and the look in their eyes.
Within their heart straight to the soul the heat starts to rise.
Once again the passion takes over as two bodies become one.
Lost in time and the moment way past the setting of the sun.
Being within the arms of the one you love this way.
There is no doubt you are right were you want to stay.
Right within these arms feeling this love forever and a day.

Awwww but it is so funny I had only wrote 3-4 before I came to this site a year ago. Actually Poetry was not my cup of tea to read lmao now give me the gory fiction or action packed book and you had my attention. Then I stumbled onto JSH and one day decided to see if I could understand some of the Poetry here or would it be like some I had to read and analaze in college which was a nitemare. For one had to look it up in books to figure what they were talking about for it was way over my head.


Well then I stumbled onto a few of the Poet's here that had me in awww from the word go. ChubnyCherubPoet which I'm sure you have read her poems if not your missing out big time. The more I read the more I got hooked and with CCP,Jim, SCG and a few others I decided to give it a try. Well I did and yeppiers I'm still here. To me it is something now I enjoy doing. Ohhh and of course the responses are awesome and that is what gives the extra push to keep writing my words upon these pages.

So I thank you from my heart, you and a few others today has truly put a smile upon my face today.

I'll admit not all poetry does it for me, but I like what I like (if that makes sense). And yeah, I like CCP's work and no_psychos_please (sorry, don't know your real name!)too. I'm still getting to know the cool poets on here, so no offence to anyone I haven't mentioned by name.
