Ay yay yay!! OMG! My allergy attack is killing me! No relief! I went to ER Thursday evening & check my blood & vitals; got excellent results. Just said to get Benadryl. Feels like fire ants bit me all over my lower leg & ankles. Just burns!

I tried my aloe plant, witch hazel, baking soda with water (like paste) but nothing helps. It helps to put my feet in pool; the water is super cold! I think I'm just gonna get in pool tomorrow & see if that helps. Maybe try some oatmeal....I had these allergies when young & up until my teens; now they are back. Must be from chemo treatments. I need a fireman to put these fires out! It bothers me most when I lay down for bed. During day, standing up, not so bad.

Oh well, if my cancer is getting better, I will deal with it.

Hey girl not sure if it will help or not.. But when my kids had chicken pox I was told for the itching to place them in a oatmeal bath.. Then was told a old wife's remedy.. take a tube sock fill it half full with just every day Oatmeal tie the end throw it in the water as well. It will get all mushy witch is what you want it to do...

Soak in the tub and squish the sock once in a while. Then before getting out stand up take the sock and and squish it and pat it all over your body.. Do not dry off get a fan or what ever you need to and just air dry..

Believe it or not I used this on my kids cause they were itching so bad from the chicken pox they had them bad.. And it did work for them.. We would do this just before they went to bed so they could get some sleep..

Have passed this on to several friends through the years for them to try.. Hope you get some relief...

I have to agree with Krist, Oatmeal in a tepid bath will help hopefully. Girl you have such a ray of sunshine and let's face as bad as you are itching a hunky fireman is NOT what you need right now. get the fire down to coals and then call him in.

Does the pool have chlorine in it??? I am curious about it soothing you.

Like I said Kristi's advice worked with my kids and when I had hives years ago.

Yes! Oatmeal is my next step. Now I know it will probably do the trick. I'm going to store tomorrow and get that oatmeal bath for sure!

Thanks for letting me know this! I'll do the sock thing too. That's a good idea. I'm pretty miserable and aggravated. I think it could be soap, laundry detergent, or something outside from raking/trimming plants. I stopped using any new products I got. It doesn't bother me when I sleep. The ER doctor said it is unspecified dermatitis. I wish he was more specific.

The pool has a salt chlorine generator/pump, so none of that harsh chlorine goes in. Very gentle on the skin.

I mean really do the oatmeal in the sock the oatmeal bath is good but the oatmeal in a sock on you will sure sooth the burning & itching..

And well these guys will only get you all Hot & Bothered so you will need that oatmeal bath afterwards for sure....

Oh, THANK YOU SO MUCH, Texasgal!!!! I just back from errands and got some oats. I put some in sock and then ran water thru it to get it mushy. Then I rubbed it all over my lower legs & lower arms, where worst. It worked immediately!!! Such a relief! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!! I will do the bath as well with the oatmeal in the sock, after kids go to bed. Peace & quite time for me!

Last summer I was swimming in the pool with older son. I had on a black string bikini & perfectly healthy. I also had a fire going to burn some brush. The fire pit is not too far from pool. It was small fire.

Anyway, all of a sudden, three heads popped over my fence. Very good looking men. I heard someone say, You need to put that fire out. I said, make me! Then I said how about you call the fire department while I call the police. Then they said we're coming over there. I said no you're not cause I'm calling the police right now!

Then........one of the guys says ma'am, we are the fire department. I wanted to kill them. Joke was on me as I thought it was one of my annoying neighbors.

Anyhow, I put out that fire immediately, in my bikini and then we all cracked up laughing. Ha ha ha

Then we put up an even higher privacy fence. Ha ha ha
