What's your thoughts on this.
I'm might be an old romantic and like to make the first move but sometimes if a female makes the first move it gives a guy more confidence.

What do you all prefer?

regardless who makes the first move...

if the guy doesn't make his intentions known and doesn't give the girl as much attention as she does him or more...it will be doomed.

It depends on the country, nationally & religion, as to what is taboo or inappropriate.
Most men, even in the USA (from my experience & observation), love women coming on to them... but they don't keep those women around.
There is still a Puritanical double standard, no matter what is on the news or movies. slaphead
None of that... is real life or a reflection of it.

* Men are hunters... no matter where they are & like to pursue *

some women prefer the male to be the initiator as they prefer being the passive person but of course they do in fact choose from among the males who are assertive but do not necessarily get selected by males they would choose so there is a price paid in being only receptive and not active in mate selection. Some males are comfortable in being chosen while others may feel emasculated and threatened. The most significant aspect is for each to meet sufficient partners so that a match can occur but this requires each to face the feelings of rejection when meeting others. Strangely both males and females want to be selected but do not wish to experience the necessary rejection that is paid to actually meet others. these are social skills and are easily learned with a counselor but require a modicum of courage to admit and then act upon to facilitate needed assertiveness skills..

Its best to cop a quick feel. If you get smacked in the face.. well at least you know up front.. if you don't... your going to have a real good night :)

Don't take my word for it, just try it.

In Asia.. woman dont make the first move even if you like someone... it tends to give people the thinking that they are desperate.

Strange but that's how it works.

That's why till date I'm still waiting for man to approach rofl

I learned later in life that some of the girls that interested me in high school were wanting me to make a move, but I didn't. It would have been nice if they had let me know that they were interested too.

There was a guy that tried this on a bus here in Sweden. She filed a complaint and he ended up having to pay her about $2000 and he got jail time.

I personally don't care. For most of my relationships we started out as friends and it just grew into more, I actually haven't dated much.

My favorite high school girlfriend found me after a football match and asked me to a party at her house. I was very flattered, it didn't feel strange at all, we hit off and went out for a long time.

I say do what feels comfortable for you.

It used to be like that..... but times have changed and Asian women/girls are more likely to show that they like or even approach men they are attracted to, especially the younger generation.

I've only ever approached someone I was physically attracted to once, and we had a good thing going on while it lasted. Some guys are just too shy to make the first move... you've gotta let them know bigsmile bigsmile
